Powerful , easy to use and great DeWalt quality as usualPerfect if you already have some DeWalt tools and batteriesIt’s pricey but still shoud have bought one years ago and SO much easier than a foot pump !

Possibly the best thing I have bought in a long time - wish I'd bought it years ago. Inflates tyres effortlessly, quickly and relatively quietly (unlike cheaper smaller units). Accurate to within 1psi at around 30psi, so perfectly acceptable (comparing it to a trusted but uncalibrated gauge). The brass valve attachment is excellent, and the best quality I have ever seen on a foot pump or inflator. My only criticisms are that the hose doesn't appear to be easily replaceable (if damaged, perished etc) and the built-in lamp isn't that bright or well aimed - though it is perfectly acceptable and handy to have. I only hope DeWalt don't "improve" (cheapen) this product in years to come. I've noticed the compressor is slightly noisier than it was when out of the box - hopefully this isn't indicative on anything untoward.

OK, it's expensive. Especially as it comes without a battery. But if you're buying this you've probably already invested in a DeWalt cordles setup and will have compatible batteries.It's well constructed, with clear controls and a easy to read display. Plug a battery in, turn it on and you're good to go. Change the units from BAR to KPa to PSI by pressing both buttons and rotating the dial. Rotate the dial to set the target pressure and press the start button.The compressor will whirr into life with a level of gusto that's at least in part determined by the target pressure you've set. It comes with both high pressure and high-volume hoses and adapters so it's good for all sorts of tyres as well as airbeds, inflatable toys, footballs etc.It made short work of reinflating an old wheelbarrow wheel (schrader valve) and mountain bike wheels (Presta valves). There's a needle adapter too for footballs.It supports 3 power sources, DeWalt XR 18v battery pack, cigar lighter and 240v mains. It only comes with the cigar lighter adapter though. Battery pack is the easiest, cigar lighter maybe the most convenient if you're out and about. Mains is the least likely - especially as you'll need to source your own power cable for it.If I've one gripe it's that the adapters are held on an exposed end of the compressor so the MIGHT get lost, although they're held in place pretty firmly.Theres even an LED torch you can turn on if you're wandering by the roadside at night trying to inflate your tyre...All in all a great if significantly expensive piece of kit.

Makes easy work of car tyres up to 2.9 bar, for example. However, important for us, it’s able to reach, albeit a bit slower, 5.5 bar on our motorhome’s big tyres. Impossible with a foot pump. Easy to set the required pressure as well. Very satisfied.

Easy to use, and not to slow

Fantastic works wonderful especially in small tight place were the cable not long enough pop a battery in and bow up eny tyre fast fitting on tip is solid brass so easy to twist on n off the tyre valve in cold days when fingers don’t really grip

Brilliant little tyre inflator. Sorted all my tyres on 3 other cars using a 4ah battery and it didn't show it had lost and battery power. High volume pump works well on inflatable toys and air beds.
