Excellent color and conditioner!

I have used Manic Panic multiple times over the years and have had fairly good results. This Alien Grey did nothing for my hair. There was a slight tint after rinsing but as soon as I washed my hair a day later, there was zero color. Not worth it. Not sure if it was old stock, or just bad stock, but I have never had that happen with a Manic Panic color before.

The dye is ok, I trust this brand to have strong color power which this color doesn't. I admit there may be an issue with my toner. My hair was at a 9 blonde after bleach with yellow tones (much of it white as I have light brown and left in the bleach for 40 minutes), when I used the T18 (platinum toner) it slightly darkened my hair to a 7-8 (which it is not meant to do) In spite of following instructions. My hair IS grey, so it did work, but the coverage is a bit patchy (likely due to bleaching) and even though I left it in for an hour it didn't lay down well and slight yellow tones returned to my hair post dye.However I feel it's mostly my own fault, and grey IS a very hard color to achieve, I'm fairly happy with the result but the color it lays down and the example color shown are not quite the same. I expected a slightly darker steel grey (to cover any yellow tones that may remain) when this was designed as more of a light silver, the disparity between the shown color and the actual tone is why I took a star off.If you have white platinum hair (especially if you bleached already blonde hair for example) this is an EXCELLENT dye. But grey is the sort of color you should get done professional, and no matter your color dyes like this won't hold onto natural hair well and you need the bleach damage to allow it to hold

I was hoping this would add some depth to untreated gray hair. Also my hair felt very soft and hydrated after use, there was not much color payoff.

This has been my go-to company for hair colors for over 20+ years 🥹 Alien Grey is the greatest for my particular look (grey root/white ends) it is subtle, but pretty and has great shine. It also lasts such a long time! I have super fine hair, prone to oil, so I have to wash it daily. I usually reapply about once every other week, and I am constantly receiving compliments. One thing I do need- for it to be carried in Sally’s again 😭 BUY THIS

I have level 9/10 hair on one side(just did the other in black), and I have been searching for the perfect dye forever. I love when my hair is grey and not brassy at all. Alien grey did the trick for me. It’s relatively inexpensive, easy to apply and tones perfectly. It even covered up a bit of reddish color on the bottom from a temporary arctic fox dye I experimented with. Overall love this shade and will keep reordering! Definitely get your hair light enough in order for this to work though. It’s a very light pastel-ish shade that requires lots of lifting prior. For me it was perfect on my hair, and made it feel healthier after.
