Top notch
Abnett and Lanning's run from Annihilation and through to the end of this book is simply outstanding. Of the five Omnibus books, this is one of my personal favourites, though it is a little bittersweet as Marvel's subsequent takes on the 'cosmic' part of its universe don't really dovetail in with this work. But then this is kind of the point of Abnett and Lanning's work, it didn't really tie in with the greater Marvel Universe, and benefitted from it as they were able to take neglected or overlooked characters and put them in a universe that was a t times a little more outlandish than the 'core' comics universe. This book is of the usual Omnibus quality - that is, excellent. The storied are bunched together in shorter runs of the various titles (Nova,GotG, Realm of Kings itself, and others), and I like it that way. In the previous War of Kings Omnibus Marvel had a dilemma as to whether to put everything in a chronological reading order, or keep runs of titles grouped together. They opted for the latter, which I think I prefer overall, but I know some would have preferred the story to run linearly in the whole book. In the case of Realm of Kings, though, this is not really an issue. In fact, I think having gaps of a few issues where issues from another title are left unresolved adds to the suspense. All in all, good stuff. I didn't really care for the Son of Hulk stuff - it seemed totally extraneous and I found myself resorting to google to find out who this character was. All the Abnett and Lanning stuff though is of the very highest quality.I originally read a lot of this on Marvel's infinite comics, but I felt that I should be buying this book so as to show m appreciation! Enjoy.

Follow up to the huge hit war of kings.
Great comic. Huge filled with tons of stories and plot twists. The cancer verse is here! Twisted versions of marvel's greatest heroes and villains. This of course follows war of kings. However you can jump In and read it from here and still get the gist of what when where who and why. Definitely one of my top 3 omnibus.

Personally i loved this omnibus
First off.... this is a direct continuation from the war of kings omnibus. I def reccomend you read that before you read this. Personally i loved this omnibus. Even more than war of kings. One big plus is that its mostly in chronogical order. Where as war of kings was not. This was a much smoother read. The story itself is great. It def has the feel of an end of an epic. Everything the writers, adnett and lanning, have been building to, over the years starting with annihilation storyline, comes to a head here. And its huge. This, in my opinion, is the successor of the past cosmic saga that was infinity gauntlet and its sequels. In other words. If you love cosmic epics. Get this book. This book does have some flaws though. Like the son of hulk storyline. Why the hell was this included? Has nothing to do with the main storyline. I had no idea what was going on. Felt totally out of place in this book. Another problem i had was the gaurdians of the galaxy issues. Do not get me wrong. The story was great. But the art!!!! They had two artists rotating between issues. And oh boy. Was it jarring. One issue would look great. Then the next looked like other crap. Was kinda irritating. But all in all, great read. I own war of kings omnibus. This omnibus. And i plan on getting the upcoming prelude omnibus. Yes. Its alot of reading. And will cost a fair amount of money. But its damn worth it.
