Perfectly fit into the main door letter inlet.

This is a great quality product. It is very sturdy & well made. I had to make a wooden frame & cut some metal plates to the back of the frame & loosen the screws on the letterbox to slide the metal plates behind it & tighten to hold the frame firmly in place & screw the post box to the wooden frame as my door is UPVC & has decorative bars on it so I couldn’t attach it directly to the door & I didn’t want to screw into my UPVC door. It worked & looks really stylish. I wish I had bought this years ago as it gives me peace of mind.

I'm conflicted about this product. It seems of good quality, the metal is fairly thick and the unit feels sturdy. It's fine, if maybe a little pricey.My main complaint is the fact that it's not entirely fireproof. Mine has small gaps between the bottom and sides, where liquid could leak out. Thankfully I don't have any reason to suspect anyone would pour a flammable or hazardous liquid through my letterbox, but I would not be confident in this boxes ability to prevent further harm.

Arrived on time. Fitted in minutes. It looks neat and can easily be demounted for when you go away. Two disappointed dogs.

Item had lines of holes on both sides of the bottom, and bottom plate was not securely attached by solder. Really bad manufacturing controls. Clearly this will not hold a flammable fluid such as petrol, and would leak all over your carpet. Therefore the likelihood of it preventing an arson attack, is 0%. Threw it in the bin, as they wanted me to send it back for refund which was just more hassle. Stated they needed to examine it first. The photos speak for themselves.

Surprisingly good quality! Was expecting thin aluminium but it’s rather thick and solid. Comes with some fixings, wouldn’t use the plugs but screws definitely work!

Bottom line: solid and meets my priority which was to prevent an accident with my overly enthusiastic dog. Does not look that nice though. And the install was a real pain because my current letter box was half an inch too wide for the opening in the box at the back. I had to cut the metal with a Dremel to make it fit. Painful. The box is absolutely not draught proofed so you have to keep your current letter box and fit this box on top, but the sizes of letter boxes vary greatly, be aware...also, no way large envelopes fit in the box, nor small flat packs from Amazon, the box should be deeper to accomodate that. All in all, an okay product, spent far too much time messing about to fit it correctly and while it solves some issues, it also creates new ones...
