Lansinoh Breast Therapy Packs with Soft Covers, 2 Pack

My daughter recently had a baby and specifically asked my wife to pick up these Lansinoh Breast Therapy Packs for her postpartum recovery. Since she requested this brand by name, we figured they had to be good—and according to her, they absolutely are an easy 5-star lifesaver. She mentioned that the versatility of using them either hot or cold is what makes them so valuable. The cold therapy was a huge relief for early engorgement, while popping them in the microwave for warm therapy helped immensely with letdown before pumping. They come with two soft fabric covers, which is a really nice detail because it keeps the plastic pack from sitting directly against sensitive skin and makes them much more comfortable to slip inside a nursing bra. If there is one minor downside, she did note that they don't hold their temperature for a incredibly long time—especially the cold. You'll get about 15 to 20 minutes of relief before they need to go back in the freezer. But honestly, since you aren't really supposed to ice for much longer than that in one sitting anyway, it wasn't a dealbreaker for her. Overall, they are durable, easy to clean, and do exactly what they promise. If you are building a postpartum care kit for a daughter, wife, or friend, these are definitely worth grabbing. This almost seemed like a silly purchase, it really did...until it didn't. Yes, they make cheap little heating and cooling packs. Yes, they cost less. Yes, you might even have some in your home... For this specific purpose these are better. The shape makes these discrete, when pregnant or nursing the last thing you want is some awkward hot/cold back shape in your bra making you feel even more self-conscious at an already delicate time. They are a good size in my opinion for accommodating smaller to larger chests, and with all the pregnancy related changes they are not big enough to make a noticeable difference. The soft cover material is very nice and doesn't irritate what could be a very sensitive area for some, and if you leak a bit you just toss the cover in the wash. There is a snap button to make it into a full circle that fits nicely around pump flanges so if you need a little heat or cold while pumping these are the perfect shape and literally designed to stay in place on your pumps. I used these for aches during pregnancy when hormones were wild and breast tissue was changing, I used these when engorged and needed reliable relief, and I use them now on days when I slept a bit too long or something else interfered and I couldn't pump when needed. They are small enough that they get hot or cold quickly. They easily fit in a cooler if you need them for on the go pumping. I can't find a downside. 10/10 definitely recommend

They come with soft covers, which makes them much more comfortable to use directly on the skin.I followed the instructions and warmed the packs in the microwave, then applied them to my breast for about 10 minutes before breastfeeding. After nursing, I used them as a cold compress (placed other packs in the freezer). This routine really helped relieve the discomfort and supported me in getting the situation under control. No leakage!Always test pack temperature prior to use.I also found them very useful for everyday breastfeeding, especially for engorgement and soreness. Having more than two would be even better; I think having four packs would be ideal so you can always have some ready while others are cooling or warming.Another unexpected use: I used a warm pack on my baby’s tummy during colic episodes. The gentle warmth helped him relax and feel more comfortable. .I highly recommend these for any breastfeeding mom. They are practical, reusable, and a great postpartum essential.

Currently trying to dry up my milk supply so I'm dealing with a lot of engorgement and these have been a lifesaver! I just put them in the freezer for a couple hours and they get nice and cold. I only wear them for about 25 minutes at a time until I get relief but they stay cold the whole time. They also have been a helpful aid in cooling me off when I'm having those postpartum hot flashes. If you're breastfeeding or pumping these are something you are gonna be glad you bought.

Bought these to get a head start on postpartum prep and to help with second trimester tenderness. Pros: - Shape of the pack contours to your curves - The center cutout avoids heat being directly applied to most sensitive area - Can be used on other parts of the body - Heats up quickly (15 seconds) for nearly instant relief Cons: - The fabric cover. I was expecting a smooth or silky material since you’re placing the pack on a sensitive area. The texture of the material is not extremely soft or smooth, and seems like it would pill after a little bit of use. Definitely a synthetic. Somehow reminds me of the material of cheap doll clothes. - If you overheat (microwave more than 15-20 seconds per pack) they get very hot and puff up. I wish the heating time wasn’t so sensitive because truth be told, at some point the microwave will get set to 30 seconds with them in and I have no idea what would happen. - To be fair, these aren’t advertised as an incognito relief solution, but I will mention that if you are wearing these in your bra it looks lumpy and noticeable. I just skip the cover and it gets the job done. I let the packs cool slightly and either apply to the skin or between layers. Not sure if that’s recommended but it works for me. Overall it’s a good value and the covers aren’t a dealbreaker for me. If I saw this on a friend’s registry, I’d buy it again for them. I use a combination of these and the Momcozy Hydrogel pads before bed on days I feel especially tender/sensitive during pregnancy.

A lactation consultant advised me against this product because she thought any ice pack would do. After 5 weeks of painful breastfeeding and trouble with pumping/supply, I was desperate and decided to try these and man am I glad. I so badly wish I had them all along. They freeze and heat very quickly and retain the cold/heat for a while. They have helped with pain management and flow. The covers are soft and the size and shape are perfect. I’m a B/C cup and get full coverage. If you plan to breastfeed, these are a must have item. Great gift idea too for expecting moms!

Had a clogged duct. Used these after freezing them and they brought much needed relief. Must have if you're pumping or breastfeeding.

Can’t recommend enough to new moms. I kept two sets while breastfeeding - one in the freezer and one to heat up. Came in handy when clogged ducts hit. Would heat a set prior to breastfeeding and then use the cold set after for relief. I now it’s them as ice packs for my kids when they get hurt. Lasted years without breaking so well worth the money. Very comfortable with the shaping - flexible and easy to shape. Thin enough to wear under clothes and thick enough to hold heat for a while. Cold doesn’t last an extremely long time but it was enough for me.

If you are going to have a baby, you NEED this! It heats up quickly in the microwave, or you can freeze it! Helps to prevent mastitis and other breastfeeding issues!! Comes with awesome soft covers that have buttons on them. The buttons click together and it turns the pads into perfect circles with a hole in the middle. I slide my medela breast pump flanges through the middle hole and boom! Instant heat pack to help with let-down that’s attached to the pump! Soooooo convenient! I only wish I had bought two sets - one for the freezer and one for heat for when I needed to alternate!

My breasts were a little inflamed from being new to breastfeeding and it really helped to be able to put these on after I had chilled them down.
