Great project
Tired of the complicated tanks or plane model builds, want to have a relaxing project?Buy this easy to build yet very nice looking 3D puzzle.Big tip is to buy some brown colored alcohol pens and coat all edges to hide the white paper edges.

Kids loved it
CubicFun's San Felipe Model Ship Kit is an absolute gem for both adults and teenagers alike. From the moment they laid eyes on this 3D puzzle, they were captivated by its intricate details and elegant design. The 25.6" size is perfect for showcasing as a cool decoration piece in my home. One of the most impressive aspects of this puzzle is the 248 individual pieces that come together to form the magnificent San Felipe ship. It's a challenge that offers a fantastic sense of accomplishment once completed. The assembly process was not only a hobby but also a stress-relief therapy for me. Spending time meticulously piecing together this ship allowed me to unwind and escape from the daily grind. But what truly sets this puzzle apart is its universal appeal. It's not just for adults; even teenagers find it engaging and enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to see how my kids took an interest in helping me assemble it. It became a fantastic bonding experience for our family. Moreover, the San Felipe Model Ship Kit makes for an excellent birthday gift, especially for men who appreciate craftsmanship and history. It's a thoughtful and unique present that shows you've put in the effort to find something special. In conclusion, the CubicFun San Felipe Model Ship Kit is more than just a puzzle; it's a stress-relief hobby, a captivating decoration piece, and a wonderful gift idea that brings joy to people of all ages. I can't recommend it enough for those looking for a fulfilling and enjoyable activity.

Right on target gift
This was a gift that the recipient was happy to receive. It's probably already assembled!

Not bad, but it's far not exactly perfect either.
Over all, the item isn't bad. The one thing that I do like about this item over a 3D wooden puzzle that I also assembled is that this items is very colorful. Unfortunately, because it's also all made out of cardboard there is a problem with some of the pieces. For example; all of the ship's masts have to be folded into long narrow tubes, and because they are so narrow the colorful layer starts to pull away. Maybe if there were some actual text to go along with the instructions, instead of just pictures on how to fold them, then maybe it would be able to be avoided. A similar problem happens with some tabs, which have to be folded before inserting into the slots. Speaking of the tabs, some are so small or ill-fitted the tabs wound up deformed. Unfortunately, the biggest problem is that even though I fitted all the pieces all the way together, when it came to the final stages I ran into a problem, where one piece that goes between two masts is not quite long long enough. I'm going to try gluing it and hopefully that will fix the problem. Another thing that really didn't make any sense to me was the anchors on the very front of the ship, because the only way they fit was to go over the "chain" to go over the fancy railing. If it were a real ship, it would never do that, since the chain would destroy that railing just from having a heavy anchor hanging over it like that. If you ask me, it would've been much better to either leave them off altogether, or provide a longer "chain", along with a cutout in the lower part of the railing for it to go though. Another notable difference between this item and the wooden puzzle, on this item I had to hunt all over multiple sheets for the various pieces, where with the wooden puzzle all the pieces were together on one sheet for each logical main step.

Big ship, easy to build!
I've started on this for the past couple of days. It's a fun do-it-yourself ship kit, seems suitable for children and adults. It's an all-paper assembling kit. The paper is sturdy and vibrant color. All the pieces are provided, along with an instruction booklet. The pieces are big. You just pop out the pieces and fit them into the slots. They hold together without requiring glue. The ship size is rather large– I've only finished the body of the ship, and it's already about 21in in length and 5in in heightAssembling the ship, so far, is relatively easy to do and does not require additional tools. Seems like a good project for a child and parent to bond over, or anyone just looking to get started on assembling crafts.

First three were good. This is garbage.
This is the fourth of these ship puzzles I have assembled, this is probably the lowest quality of the four. The pieces don't go/stay together as well as some. This and the HMS Victory puzzles are models of fairly large ships, but the scale is smaller and the detail is less than the Queen Anne's Revenge or Flying Dutchman puzzles. Those two really dwarf Victory and San Felipe when they are side by side on my desk. The Dutchman was my favorite; it had the best quality, fit, and overall appearance. This one is just ok... It's more simple (less pieces/detail) but it's kinda slipshod when all said and done.I had to update this review as I got closer to finishing. As mentioned before, this is the fourth of these I've put together and this one is an absolute piece of crap. Nothing fits, nothing is cut right, part of the rigging aren't even long enough to reach their slot...... it looks like junk.I had to break out the Exacto knife and super glue to even cobble it together.Once it was done I looked at it.... And then let the kids stick a couple large firecrackers inside.I had intended to order the Constitution ship next so I could have all 5....but this one totally destroyed any desire to put another of these things together. And, as is the case with most things today, the manufacturer simply has the attitude of "Oh well, stuff happens... We already got your money so we don't really care what happens after that"

Great ship
Super great quality and fun to build. Love the colors !!!

Good looking, but one piece hull is a design flaw.
A number of parts require glue to remain in place. Biggest problem is the one piece design for the wrap-around hull. Despite several tries at re-assembly to get it to fit properly, I finally had to cut and glue one side, and display the uncut side.

Bought it for a Father’s day gift. Absolutely love it and he enjoyed doing it. Didnt expect it to be that big though theres the dimension (didnt really look at it) would get other designs too.

Experience helps to put together
This was the 4th ship I did so I was able to understand how to assemble better. I say it this way because the instruction booklet was more time consuming to follow than the others. It was not clear on the placement of some pieces. The book has a habbit of showing a bunch pieces together, especially the smaller ones, without precisely showing the lines or orientation of where the pieces go. And a few smaller pieces were grouped together that I had to really focus on how to put the pieces together. The sail's and masts were the time consuming part. The other puzzles showed a few pieces at a time like sails on one section then the masts on another; this manual has them all together on one picture that made it difficult to identify which way the masts should face and the small locking pieces on the masts where the sails go.I also found it easier when installing the hull to do that in one step. This puzzle has you install one side of the hull while having the other left on table while still working on the main deck before latching the other side panels. It looks good when finished. Doesn't have a ship wheel and was also a puzzle I did not need use much of the glue gun on to keep pieces together. I prefer using glue despite having the glue blobs and strings around the puzzle to keep together for display than having no glue and pieces unlatching.
