Easy and works great if used correctly
As stated in the title, this product works great if you understand how it works and use it properly. I was assuming it was a very fine polish and would require some elbow grease to get the water spots off. The first time I tried using it following the directions on the bottle which state "if using by hand use tight circular motions with moderate pressure then wipe off" it didn't work well. It dries very fast during application "time spent in tight circular motions" and is difficult to get off once dry. Attempt number two was much better. I found that it's whats in the product that removes the water spots rather than any work on your part. Just lightly make a pass or two "straight lines" over the area then immediately, and I mean immediately remove with a microfiber towel. If it dries before you wipe off then reapply and it'll come right off. After my experience I wouldn't recommend using a DA polisher with this product. Meguiar's water spot remover did in fact remove all the spots on my black 2500 HD with ease. Followed up with ceramic wax and look great.

I have had issues with some recycle water spots and This water spot remover works well
This water spot remover works well. I have had issues with some recycle water spots that I could not remove for years. I used this product and just like that they were gone. I wish I had tried this product a lot sooner. Anyway, I only had to use my hands, and the instructions were very clear on how to use the product. I used just the round white applicator sponge and a fiber tower to wipe off. I worked only in t about a one-foot area. Nothing special was needed and just like that the spots were gone, and the paint was clear and no damage to the clear coat. I purchased a polishing machine but did not need it. I thought I should try first with my hands and see what would happen. I was really surprised when the spots that were there for years were gone. I hope this helps.

Works well, but not easy.
Product works if you are willing to do applications over and over. My Miata had a combination of new and old spots (cranked up irrigation system due to new sod, thus the reason for lots of new water spots which do not wash off and you do not buff off) They must be chemically dissolved which is what this product does. Removing spots required as many as a dozen vigorous applications in each area. Only one side of car was affected, and I spent four or five hours with the product. In the end, the results were very satisfactory. The first application or two seemed to remove the spots, but with a good light, it was clear they were far from gone. Also note that the product is thin so goes a long way. I used a little over half a container for this. Instructions and prior reviews are clear - work small area, rub rather hard with lotion in circular motion and wipe it off before it starts to dry. Repeat as many times as necessary. Before and after photos attached.

Highly recommended, as advertised, very easy to use.
My car had many sprinklers caused water spots on the rear window that accumulated over a year from my old apartment complex. The product worked like a charm, taking away more than 70% of the spots in the first round , and around 80-90% in the second round. I was using a microfiber cloth with hand pressure on small areas one at a time, each area took only 4-6 medium pressure, circular motions to get a noticeable result. Clean with a clean cloth after to wipe off residues, this will help you determine if you need more rounds

Not good for heavy cleaning
Meguiar's Water Spot Remover is a decent product that delivers mixed results. I bought this to help remove water spots from my car’s exterior, and while it did work to some extent, it didn’t completely meet my expectations. The application process is straightforward. The product is easy to apply with a microfiber cloth, and it doesn’t leave behind any residue. It worked well on light water spots, particularly on the glass and paint surfaces, giving them a nice, clean shine. However, when it came to more stubborn or older water spots, the remover struggled. Even after multiple applications and a bit of elbow grease, the toughest spots remained visible. I also noticed that on darker paint, it sometimes left a slight haze that needed additional polishing to remove.Overall, Meguiar’s Water Spot Remover is an okay product for maintaining a clean look and addressing minor spots, but it may not be strong enough for more severe water stains. It’s worth a try if your water spots are relatively fresh, but for heavy-duty cleaning, you might need something a bit more powerful.

Will work with buff machine
This will work with buff machine! Just takes some elbow grease. Horrible stubborn water spots are gone!

It’s is grinding compound used to buff off the spot - NOT a chemical based product you wipe on/off.
This is just grinding compound. It’s not a chemical water spot remover. The ad copy leads you to believe it’s normal gel or spray you apply and then wipe off. So I wasted my money on this one.
