The Chronicles of Narnia: 7 Books in 1 Hardcover

I love this book

Narnia is a must growing up for any child. In his literary genius, CS Lewis, primarily a philosopher just creates a wonderful world within a world in which children can let loose their imagination and have wonderful characters and role models to grow up with in a creation that at the same time caters to the level of a child's comprehension at yet prepares them for the larger world in which they will soon find themselves in. I read this as an adult and it was no less fascinating for me, apart from a few sections through which I had to flip the pages in order to get to the next part of the plot. But I can imagine soaking it all in as a child, even the descriptive parts of this world of his creation. For the adults, I would massively recommend his mature books, my favorites are "the Screwtape Letters", "The Great Divorce" and his philosophical work on the "Problem of Pain".

A very beautiful book and a must for Narnia lovers to have all 7 Chronicles together. Highly recommend.

Having already owned a set of Narnia books but needing a new one for my younger child as the others had long since gone to the charity shop. I was looking for a budget buy when I decided to take a punt on this. All the books are contained in one thick volme (there are still some of the line drawn illustrations on chapter start pages)printed nicely on white paper. Although this is more daunting for a young reader than seperate thin volumes I thought this disadvantage was outweighed by the price. My 8 year old has really enjoyed these (despite quite long winded descriptions up hill and dale in the later books). I read a chapter or two at bedtime and he reads on himself after for a bit or during the day. The only problem (hence 4 stars) we have experienced has been a few pages almost coming away from the binding when opened a bit too sharply and flattened out. I think reading such a big volume has given my son a real sense of achievement. The volume was also good value.

I was searching for a good quality combination of all of the tales of Narnia. This certainly reached my expectations. With a large budget I was quite nervous that it wouldn't be the quality it seemed to be on the computer. However, it was definitely up to standard, an absolutely beautiful book. It was the most expensive book I have ever bought, but it was definitely worth it. (Expensive but this is the cheapest option.)

This was sold as Used but is in absolutely PERFECT condition. I read these stories first as an 8 yr old - I'm now 63. They still captivate and this book will be passed to grandchildren to enjoy for many years to come I'm sure. The language used may prove tricky for today's young generations but I hope they will enjoy the stories as much as I did.

Didn't dislike anything

It may be a kids book, but I'm 22 and loved every word of it. This contains all seven Narnia books, including the Lion Witch Wardrobe book (which is brilliant, but not the best here, in my opinion). For those of you who have only read LionWitchWardrobe, then this is a must, as it becomes a very deep and symbolic book, which you didnt stand a chance at understanding when you were six. It's also brilliant for reading to your kids, they'll love it even more than you will. And then they'll also get the joy of redescovering it when they're grown up. 5 stars.

We bought this book for our son because he loved The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and wanted to read more. The book is beautifully bound and he is so excited that he can go from one book strait to the next without going to the book shelves to try to find the next one.

Great condition. It's a book and came as a book. I noticed early on that there were some religious type connections and upon 30 seconds of searching I found that it's strongly based around religion so aside from both of them being fairy tales I had no interest reading past the 4th or 5th book because they are all the same story just different characters and a different setting. I did enjoy the first story and the lion the witch and the wardrobe though.

O livro é muito lindo.Excelente qualidade, e acompanha a capa para proteger o mesmo.Ótimo para quem não domina o idioma e busca aprender com leituras em inglês.A leitura é bem leve, e fica difícil não querer terminar o livro todo após começar a ler.O conteúdo é indiscutível… C.S.Lewis para mim, é o melhor autor que já existiu. Não é à toa que as crônicas de Nárnia é um dos grandes clássicos no mundo inteiro.Recomendo, com certeza!
