Still good after 5-6 years!
Had this thing for about 5-6 years now? No problems and it’s going strong! Don’t know much about computers a whole lot, not like an enthusiast but I know I needed one good enough to play games with. It’s pretty good, lots of usb ports. I’d say it’s budget friendly at the time and my budget was about $1100.

3rd ASUS Motherboard
These are excellent motherboards, my 3rd one in 10 or so years. The only issue that I have is with this motherboard and there are 2.1) The user's manual is in Chinese. WHY? I live in the USA and I bought this in the USA but the manual is in Chinese.2) The included DVD, why a DVD I don't understand, but the DVD errors out on installing the drivers. I even tried my internal ASUS DVD burner and an external USB HP DVD drive and they both fail reading from the included DVD.ASUS provides and excellent in gaming motherboards in general except this time they fumbled a bit. Will this atop me from buying ASUS products in the future? NOA bit disconcerting is that upon registering on the ASUS website, this shows up as a Warranty Expired, why is that if I purchased this as brand new?

Great BIOS Auto OC Capability
I haven't built my own PC for quite a few years but decided to do so again. This new board is amazing. There are a ton of detailed technical reviews on-line so I won't go into all of that here, but this board was the best value for the money that I found after hours of extensive research. I'm using the I7-9700K with some Overclock, 3200 DDR, and two Samsung 970 Storage NvMe's. I've also added a GigaByte 2070 Super. When I benchmark my PC it always achieves "UFO" status, and is in the top percentages, and I am not tuning it just for the high benchmarks. It hits this benchmark with extreme stability. The "Automatic OC" Bios setting of this motherboard is a fantastic capability. A few BIOS tweaks, and then using that setting and this board makes everything run at the extreme. It made my PC build a breeze.

This board will not let you down!
Extremely well made mobo! They thought of everything. Well placed fan headers, nice rgb lighting, built in I/O shield is convienent but not necessary. OC my delidded I7 8700k to 5.0ghz with out a sweat. BIOS is well layed out and easy to navigate. Only minor complaint is the size of the I/O front shielding where the RGB is. In can make plugging in the CPU header hard to reach. However if you realize this as your installing you can avoid such a headache. Also comes with a small vmos fan to keep them cool under your awesome OC's you can do with this motherboard. Highly recommend and will be using one on my next build. Good job Asus. Well done.

overkill for average users
I don't game, nor do i do much video/photo editing anymore, but I got this because of all the prior Asus boards I've used. And wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to upgrade again for a long time (this replaces a 6 yr-old board that started to act up. Plenty of options in bios for overclocking, etc. 2 NVME m.2 sockets with optional heatsinks included. layout is good, manual is also good. Had not problems dropping this into the existing chassis, mounting a new CPU, monster heatsink, 32GB ram, etc. Since we're not gaming, I just went with the built VGA capability and everything is great.

ASUS ROB Strix
this is my third time to buy this motherboard because im always doing water cooling and i make a mistake and always burn them out all my fault no more water cooling. I bought another one why because its my favorite motherboard it does everything i need for a advance gaming compute also its quality and the RGB is awesome. I have 11 RGB fans and led lights on this thing and it does it all. For the money you're not going to find a better one with out paying a grand so i love it .

Poor quality control, defective MB and two Warranty calls.
After buying this MB from Amazon, I went out on vacations and on the way back, the new computer was assembled together. At the so waited moment, I pressed the power button and... NOTHING HAPPENED! There was a led showing some kind of problem with the RAM. I borrowed an identical memory bank from my friend to troubleshoot, and again it wouldn't boot.I Contacted Amazon, and since it was slightly over 30 days, they said that a replacement or refund were not possible because 30 days have already passed. They sugested me to call ASUS for the warranty.ASUS was called, a RMA was done, MB sent and received from them.Time to assemble the computer again, and this time it started up!Great! But it didn't last long. The system worked fine for slightly over a month, and suddenly it wouldn't boot again. But this time, no led lights indicating any failures on RAM, GPU, CPU or anything. Troubleshooting done again, memory banks swapped, looking for loose cables and connexions (even though the setup was closed and never touched after the initial startup), but nothing was found that would explain what was wrong.Contacted ASUS technical support and explained everything, more than an hour on that annoying, sarcastic and slow chat (with the guy on the other side clearly trying to blame the GPU, my TV, HDMI, RAM, the Pope, etc), and again another RMA.Reading other reviews here at Amazon, I see some reports on manufacturing quality problems (bent pins, connexions, etc). Two RMAs in such a short time is not acceptable for a brand like ASUS, and this MB will be my last ASUS product since quality control is not important for you guys. What I really want is my money back now. I should have picked another brand.

Great board but a bit pricey
This board is a bit on the pricier end but you are paying the extra money for the brand. ASUS has been the only motherboard that I've yet to experience problems with the board upon building and running a new computer. The BIOS offers a lot for overclocking and the board layout is easy to work with. My biggest qualm with this board is that I could not for the life of me find a way in BIOS to set boot priority to my USB. This motherboard was also strangely higher compared to another z390 motherboard I had so I couldn't standoffs that came with my computer case and had to get some slightly shorter ones.
