I enjoy assembling block sets and thought this one was a special find for Christmas. The blocks are about the size of standard Legos and connect together easily The set came with an instruction booklet with illustrations on what blocks are needed and how to fit them together for each layer. The booklet shows that the animals require assembly but mine arrived already assembled. I have assembled many block sets, including Legos and Nanoblocks with thousands of pieces so this set was not particularly challenging. I knew it only had 315 pieces so was not expecting a challenge - just something fun and cute to display for Christmas. It met my expectations.As I put together my set, I noticed a piece was missing. Since I didn't count the pieces to verify I had them all before I started assembly, I thought I might have knocked it on the floor. I assembled the rest of the pieces then checked around on the floor and swept a couple times in case it had fallen. Since it was a larger piece, it seemed like it would have been easy to find if I had dropped it.I contacted Nativity Bricks by email, explained I couldn't find the piece but hadn't counted the pieces so couldn't verify whether if was missing prior to shipment or if I had lost it. I received a reply within a few minutes offering to send a replacement piece. Amazing customer service!!! I received the replacement piece within a couple of days along with a Moses figure.Overall, a nice set and priced about the same as a Lego set with similar quantity of pieces. If Nativity Bricks had other sets, I would buy from them again.

I am so happy with this little nativity set! The design is intricate and beautiful, yet fairly easy to follow the instructions step by step (our kids definitely needed help though!) Love that the animals heads are able to move when it’s assembled. We took out the people and animals ahead of time and are putting them in our kids’ advent calendar drawers so they are not pictured.

I can't give this enough stars. It's so hard to find items for children and families of color. Finally a Lego set that has a large number of black minifigs. This is compatible with Lego. It comes with several large square bases. You can use the pieces to build many different things. One of my favorite purchases of all time.

This set was difficult to assemble. So many pieces packed in various sealed bags that were not packed with any thought as to what parts worked together for different sections of the Nativity. What confusion and then organization that was required to begin. It took a lot of time to assemble but was well worth it. My grandson, just turned 5, and I worked for two straight hours on the first afternoon when we started. Amazing to capture the focus of a lively five year old for such a long time. With each visit we continued to enthusiastically continue until completion. Great purchase. I would definitely gift this to a child but give it well ahead of Christmas day.

Comparable to legos. The instructions seemed a little more difficult but my 9 yr old girl achieved this by herself! I did have to secure some of the bricks on the roof which led me to wonder how compatible are these with brand name legos?My pictures show lego vs these bricks. They do snap together all the same. (Random lego pieces are on the top half of the photo and random pieces from the Nativity on the bottom half of photo. Design is essentially the same. There was no noticeable difference in snapping or unsnapping.Side by side, I find the design of the nativity people attractive. Regular Legos fit on the animals and on any of the surfaces.The legs and arms bend on the Nativity people which my children like.Nothing broke while putting it together and there are a lot of extra pieces. And yes, add some of your other legos to it if you'd like. However, I am keeping this set separate to use annually and in a Sunday School class. After getting over that it's not lego brand, I accepted this is a great set! Oh and at the end of the manual, you send a picture of you and your completed project and you get a free Moses Character sent to you which my 9 yr old is excitedly waiting for!

Having spend thousand of dollars on Legos over the years I feel I'm and expert when it comes to putting bricks together. The bricks in this set are high quality, they snap together easily and stay snapped together. The instruction were clear enough that my kids (age 6 and 8) had no problem putting the set together. The figurines have good detail and the arms and legs have more movement that comparable figurine (i.e. they can do the splits, etc.). What I love most is that it is a fun interactive set that we can display in the house to help to remind the family of the true meaning of Christmas.

When assembling the "gifts" for the 3 kings, pieces didn't fit together. I had to drill a larger hole in some bricks and super glue them together. Other than that, it was a nice lego set.

My 6 year old grandson and I assembled this nativity! It came with all the pieces and very good instructions. The assembly was enjoyable and a bit challenging For him as it was for 9+! It was a fun way to talk about Jesus’ birth and the events surrounding it! The people and animals are so cute! Loved them all! I highly recommend this product!
