Great Multi Region Disc Player (But Has Limited USB Stick Capacity)
I am glad I bought this player as it means I can play any DVD or Blu Ray from any region in the world. I also use it as my CD player as my TV is connected to an amp and speakers (for surround sound), so it's a great all rounder. Nice and compact too, so it doesn't take up much space. It also plays digital files from memory stick - but there are some limitations there. The player doesn't seem able to "read" any memory stick over 16GB in size. Therefore, if you have digital media (on stick) to view, you'll need to transfer it down to a smaller device. It also doesn't play all formats (from memory stick). Some older digital files that I can still play on my PC (using VLC Software) aren't "recognised" by this player - but most general modern file types read OK (MP4 etc).Buyers need also to be aware that the instructions for use aren't complete, but it's easy to work out what to do. Basically, DVD's (from any region) just play when you put them in. With Blu-Ray discs, the instructions tell you to press button 1 (for Region A), button 2 (for Region B) or button 3 (for Region C) whilst the tray is open. There is, however, another step beyond this not referenced on the instructions (see below).Once you have selected the right region (see above) the disc tray closes by itself. The next screen you see has four options displayed: "Movie", "Photo", "Music" and "Settings". Once your Blu-Ray is in, the temptation is to select "Movie"...but it will not play if you do. If you look to the very bottom of the screen, there is a small "Blu-Ray" icon displayed. Using the arrow keys and the "Enter" key on your remote, you must select this "Blu-Ray" icon in order for it to play. Then you're good to go.All that taken into consideration, it is a great device for its price and one you will get many hours enjoyment out of. It has really broadened the range of movies / TV shows I watch as a lot of titles don't get a UK release and aren't always available on other digital platforms.

Excellent player
It's not very often I feel as though I got value for money. With this player I do. I read all sorts of reviews about all sorts of other players and decided on this one. All I wanted was a region free Blu-ray/ dvd player and that is what l have got. Easy to set up and change regions. Yes you can play all region Blu-ray with no problems. The remote is quite substantial, the unit is light weight and compact. A third the size of my ageing Samsung. Picture quality is very good and it comes with an HDMI cable, although I am using the one I already had. Altogether very pleased

NOT REGION FREE - don't be the next victim!
Don't do what I did and assume the other 1 star reviews saying "NOT REGION FREE" must be some kind of misunderstanding - because they're not. I got sent a standard, region locked 'LG BP-250'. As soon as the box arrived I had a bad feeling because i saw "region 2" written on it, with no instructions inside to change regions - and the first try of a foreign disc failed. It's a mystery to me as to why this is listed, very clearly as "Region free" - and yet it isn't. Look through the reviews and lots of other people are saying the same thing.Sadly, even as a region 2 player I wasn't very impressed with this machine. It played my UK Blu ray's and DVD's just fine, and i was quite impressed with the DVD upscaling, but there seemed to be errors with the software on the device. For example, I would skip a scene using the remote and the entire movie would just stop playing. Other times there would be weird static interference on the screen and the image would start to glitch. In fairness, I was given a full refund - and you will see lots of 5 star reviews on here raving about this machine. I can't quite understand where those reviews are coming from, personally, because so far as I can see this device is not what it is advertised as - the only theory I can think of is that some people are being sent region unlocked while others are not - either way it's a gamble.

Cheapest we saw and it seems OK for the money. Only has HDMI output- nothing else
Seems to work fine, nice sharp picture but, girlfriend seems to have trouble getting the remote to register sometimes. She finds me menu structure (it starts with a movie/picture/mp3 type menu then goes straight into play. If you want subtitles or looking at special features it's another layer of complication and my not-always-too-together girlfriend finds this frustrating. THE multiregion feature is a bit of a pain too as you have to switch the thing off then turn it back on while pressing the appropriate button, however it does work. We'd hoped it would just work with everything like multiregion DVD's do. Haven't really tried the DVD multiregion feature but think that just works whatever you shove in the slot. Another interesting feature is that it re-named the input on the TV's menu, which the "Denver" DVD never did. (compared to the Denver it's also very quiet operating but then the Denver is really noisy) Front panel looks quite nice and jazzy. There is only an HDMI on rear and USB on front. power is via a mains to DC adaptor and the player is surprisingly small.

Yes, it really works!
I really recommend this LG Multi-Region BluRay Player - it really works, I was able to follow the instructions to change to region A for BluRays (and I am 59 and not very good at any computer gadget setting up - but this is simple - with the door open point at the player and press 1 for region A, 2 for region B or 3 for region C and there it goes) and it played my A region BluRay with no problems. As I have not yet had this BluRay Player for long, I cannot be certain this will continue changing with no problems, time will tell, but you might be interested to know that I contacted the seller who was very helpful and told me that changing the BluRay settings can be done as many times as I would want to, there is no limit to the number of times you can switch region settings, for as long as the BluRay Player still continues to function (I am hoping a long time - if not, I will be back to let you know).I previously purchased this same LG Multi-Region BluRay Player in 2020 it still works for all my DVDs of different regions and for B region BluRays (and region free of course) but when I tried playing my A Region BluRay on that older player for the 1st time after over 3 years use, I could not change the region (I do not know if it ever could, this was my first ever Region A BluRay) but as far as the DVDs of different regions are concerned I have used many without ever having any problems and no need to change settings for DVDs either.Another thing you might be interested in is that there are no high-pitched wining sounds whilst you play your films, both my BluRay players, old and new, are very quiet running - they do make quite a few sounds when you insert discs and change episodes on menus and that sort of thing, but during play whilst you are watching your films there is no annoying sounds. (Unless your dog is snoring!)I very much recommend this LG Multi-Region BluRay player.Happy customer :)

LIFE GOOD MULTIREGION BLU-RAY AND DVD PLAY LG BP-250
If you want a Blu-ray player at a reasonable price and a good trusted make then you cannot go far wrong with this. This LG (LIFE GOOD) product will play Blu-rays REGION A: (U.S.A and other parts of AMERICA also JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, SOUTH EAST ASIA) REGION B: (U.K. AND EUROPE, AFRICA, MIDDLE EAST AND AUSTRALIA) REGION C: (Other parts of ASIA). In addition to playing Blu-ray's this will play Multi-region DVD'S such as REGION 1 U.S.A. DISCS and REGION 2 UK and EUROPE DISCS as well as other regions. So this is an essential product to have if you have been having problems with your Blu-ray's and Dvd's not playing on your standard player (personally I hate region codes and think that they should never have been invented in the first place and I know that it is to do with cinema releases not being shown at the same time in a perticular country, it's to stop people in another country seeing that movie on dvd before it's release, but I feel that films should have the same release dates in both the U.S.. and U.K. but as these annoying region codes exist I had to get this player having ammassed a collection of Region 1 U.S.A DVD discs that would not play on a standard U.K. player so this player solved my problem) this is a good replacement, also this player is easy to set up using a HDMI cable to your tv and it is also slimline, so doesn't take up a lot of room. I paid around £134 from Amazon which is not a bad price. Thanks for reading this review from Garybaldi

Excellent Machine - Perfroms as the seller described.
This machine does work for all regions that I have tried. Blu-Ray Region A and B discs were played with not issues. Just insert the disc and use the keypad on the remote to select the region and the machine starts the play function. Region A = 1, Region B = 2. For DVD just insert the disk and press play. I have played Region 0 and 1 NTSC disk and also Region 0 and 2 PAL discs. No issues at all. The remote is the same as that for my 4K LG player so it operates both machines. Gives me a spare remote on hand. Picture quality and sound are excellent, but that will depend upon the disc. So far the machine lives up to the seller's specifications. I would buy this unit again. Also bought a 2 year guarantee for a fair price and it is by a Canadian company when purchased in Canada.

Good quality you get what you pay for
The blu-ray player does what is described, it plays both region A and B Blu-rays. I haven’t been able to test if it also works for region C because I don’t have any blu-rays or dvds from that region but in the short manual that you get it does give you the “code” to switch to region C so I guess that those also work. Normal dvds work just fine you don’t even have to switch the regions for that one.In the box for the player you get a hdmi cable to connect it to your tv, a battery for the remote and you get a European cable outlet because the cable for the player is a UK one. Everything was wrapped safely so it couldn’t move around in the box.My only complaint is that the remote is really small the remote on the left in the picture is the remote for the blu-ray so the only danger there is being able to lose it because it’s tiny.

Funziona

Does What It Says
Works as advertised, plays almost all types of discs/regions. Minor issue with the remote control is a missing "subtitle" button. Overall, a good value for the money buy.
