Delicious, pure Italian licorice. If you're expecting a form of candy, don't buy these.

Awesome! This was the purest form of licorice that I could find that wasn’t the root. Great strong flavor only need a piece of one sometimes!

Excellent and strong… just as I remembered

Extremely disappointing. Seemed to have almost no flavor at all other than a slight bitterness that increased the longer I kept it in my mouth--was hoping a licorice flavor would emerge, but it never did. As another reviewer pointed out, a product label was stuck right over the beautiful antique/retro boxtops art. Part of the appeal of buying a product like this is for the tin and the boxtop graphics. Having a label with very tenacious adhesive stuck right on top is awful--why couldn't that label have been affixed to the bottom of the box? I was able to remove it with some gentle scrubbing with a paper towel moistened with Goo-B-Gone, a citrus oil based product designed to remove stubborn adhesive residue left from removing labels. I'm going to throw out the lozenges and keep the tin.

These are different from many candies. The flavor is rich and satisfying, but the flavor is strong enough that one is enough- I'm not tempted to keep eating them. I have been looking for a Sen-sen replacement, and I'll keep looking; but I will buy these again.

These delightful licorice candies are meant to be slowly disolved under your tongue. Some people like to crunch them. Either way, this is the finest quality pure licorice and very, very strong. If you like dark molasses or super bittersweet chocolate that's way more bitter than sweet, then you might like these spezzatinas, too. If you're expecting the typical sugary, anise-flavored candy that's called "licorice" then these are probably not for you. These do not taste like anise in the slightest. There is no added sweetener, only the natural gentle sweetness of pure licorice. I no longer offer them to my friends because they all hate it but that's good because it means more for me! But go easy on these or maybe give them a pass entirely if you have high blood pressure.

The actual licorice extract has an intense flavor and is of the top quality. I typically use a quarter of a piece and the flavor lasts for hours at end. Great gift idea for someone who loves licorice! The whole tin contains plenty of pieces and is super cost effective!

I love this strong licorice but it’s not for everyone. Just know it’s a strong bitter licorice no sweetness at all. For me it’s a 10 out of 10 licorice for ME….

Sehr angenehm im Geschmack. Die Pastillen sind schön klein, d. H auch wenn man reden muss, kann man sie gut im Mund halten . Sie befeuchten den Rachen gut. Hilft mir an Tagen, wo ich viel Stimme brauche und schmeckt auch gut.

Used to love these Liquorice pellets as a child. Stumbled across them via Amazon - so great that they have such treats readily available. Such an intense Liquorise flavour and last for ages. Bonus is not only have I relive a childhood flavour but have revelled in the idea in great infusing them in gin or vodka.! Taste Marvellous

My husband uses these pillows of liquorice to help keep his throat moist and clear when he sings with the Huddersfield Choral Society. One tin will see him through for about 3 months. I can recommend these for that and also because they are great value for money.
