Join a forum or Facebook group after purchase. Not pirfect but by far best unit on the market. I have seriously modified my unit and only use hatchbox pla. But I'm between 18-20 lbs of material in with little issues

This could be a great 3d printer. But the unit I received does not have the new MKS Gen L board and has soldered down HR4982 drivers. I got a unit with a bad set of drivers, and I would have to replace the entire electrical board to fix my issues with salmon skin and y-shifting.

Promoted as the red and green model, premium price, received bronze version. No instruction manual.

Update 8/10/18 With minimum updates to Cura stock CR-10 configuration, I was able to final the leveling on this bed, well for what you can do with a bowed build plate. I developed a quick slice print to test the first layer around the build plate. PLA lightly sticks to the outside edges (good enough for PLA) and wont let go in the middle. Until the covering wears off and I replace with glass, I will print PLA towards the outside of the build plate and PETG, ABS, and TPU towards the center where I have the most adhesion. Hopefully I can remove prints when they are done. This build plate will hold prints. If you have a bowed build plate like myself and others, I recommend using the paper test to get you close, Then create a test print over the outer parameter and in the center. Print only the first layers and check how the layer feels when removing and make slight adjustments to the area where you have less or more adhesion. I have never had to level any of my printers this way, but maybe I have been lucky over the years with flat build plates. You will have to use the allen wrench on the top to hold the bolt to twist the adjuster screw underneath. It is kind of a pain on the front as the hot end covers the screw a tad. Make small moves. You will burn through some filament, so use your cheapest PLA. I am a tad upset by the distributor of this product in that they were not more one on one to try to resolve the issue. I only asked them for some advice on what they do with a bowed build plate. If they had provided a phone number or done something other than standard email asking me to show them the problems I would have rated them a 4. I am not going to make a video of a paper leveling test, and I am sure not going to make a video of a virus on my new PC. I spent enough time working on the printer, containing a virus, and writing reviews. I recommend going with gearbest or someone that will stand by the product. In fairness, this distributor did get the printer to me very quickly and ahead of the projected delivery date. I just can't give them 4 stars as they did not assist the customer properly in my opinion. As stated before, do not execute the repeater host software off of the SD card, unless you like the content it downloads setting off the A/V whistles. This is where my biggest heart burn exists with the product. I had to shutdown and isolate my primary PC due to this. In a way it motivated me to get my new replacement PC up and running, but I could have done without the added stress. FYI, I hate Microsoft Edge as a browser. Additional information: Firmware is 1.1, stepper boards are not soldered, Everything but the build plate is solid and works as it should. Accessories are a joke. You do get an additional thermistor and some T-nuts which is nice. Packaging is as good as the CR-10S4, no complaints. No print spooler, really? Even worse, no strain relief for the 110VAC bed wiring? I get it, the CR-10 did the same thing initially, but come on. Initial Review: I had hoped to write a good review and mild comparisons against the CR-10S but I didn't get that far. If you want some extra steppers and gantry parts for other printers this might be for you. Maybe that is a bit harsh, but I recommend doing more reviews online with this printer with regards to issues. The consensus is that if you get a good printer you will be happy. If you get a bum one, you will be performing a lot of mods to the bed both hardware and software for the added weight of the glass bed. My Experience: Assembly was super easy. Same assembly as the CR10 printers as it is mostly a clone. I printed a print spooler and heating bed strain relief on one of my other CR-10 printers. A little confused why this would not be stock, but moving on. Leveling the bed is where it went south. It is bowed in the center like many others report on the internet. After some time playing around I got the center with minimum paper drag, but the corners are super high. With the corners set at paper distance, you could not stick a piece of paper under the nozzle anywhere in the middle. I decided that I wanted to print mostly in the center so I setup the center the to be a good height using the paper test. I decided that I would try to see how much actual printable area that I would have with this configuration. FYI, don’t execute the XYZ file on the SD card, it tests all the motors out and is not a print test program. I decided to download the latest repeater host software to make my own tests. The install went well, but that is when I realized that the Tevo.config did not exist on my SD card as the instructions indicated. There was a config.ini file, but was not excepted by the newer repeater host software. So, I decided to run the software on the SD card. Immediately I knew there was an issue as the software started downloading content. Not typical for this type of software in my experience. The A/V bells started ringing and I unplugged the connection, powered down the PC. Now it is waiting for me to pull the hard drives and manually pull off the content that I can. This PC was ready for a refresh, but I was planning on doing this later. This is why my laptop runs everything in a virtual machine. Contacting reseller just puts you in a tailspin. They just say they will talk to the manufacturer and then ask for videos. I am not going to take a video of downloading a virus. So now I have Cura re-installed on my new laptop in a Win 7 VM ready to go. Just need to import over my CR-10 settings and see how it goes. If I get time I will do a follow up on the results. Likely, I will do what everyone else is doing and upgrade to a glass bed. I expected some work, but not this much. The CR-10S hits the ground running.

I did not give 5 stars because the customer support is horrible. The item itself is a great product. I love it. Too bad they don't have a beter customer service.

great printer now only if I can get slicing software that actually see's it as a tornado and not a taranchila.

Best printer ever. I had a Flash Forge and this makes that thing look like a back of crap.

I ordered this product in December, when it was delivered the build plate was completely destroyed (sorry no picture). I ordered a replacement which promptly arrived but the cable for the y axis didn't work so I popped the control box open and noticed that a heatsink was missing after some looking I found it all bent stuck to one of the walls. I don't know how this happens but the state these have been in are disheartening.
