Does this work for macadamia nuts??

I have used it to crack almonds, pecans and walnuts. Works great so far, I'm guessing if it's a nut it should crack it. You just need to adjust it to the size of the nut.

does it take the shell off?

No, it just kind of cracks the nut shell but some nuts fall out of the shell as they are being cracked.

when cracking pecans, do most come out in halves or pieces? Do you have to adjust the size for various size pecans?
