I love it!! I was so excited to receive this and it has replaced my old project bag set. I do wish the needle threader fit in the needle case but that’s not important. The scissors are wonderfully sharp! They rival my singer embroidery scissors I inherited from my grandmother. I like my needles contained outside of my needle minder and not loosing them. I was even able to put my seam ripper in the case and everything fits. My toddler likes the “garbage can” thimble so he plays with it lol I don’t really use those. 10/10 love it.Update: the handle portion on one side has come loose from the glue and often comes off. I will probably find some super glue or E6000 to set it. Annoying but overall not the worst.

These have a nice weight, the scissors needed a quick sharpen, but they took it well and are good and sharp now. The patina is a little uneven, but they look pretty good.The needle case was a little short for the use I intended, I was going to use it to hold darning needles for weaving ends in on knitted projected and my favorite type are too long for this case.The thimble fits okay, and the bodkin is very pretty. The awl is super sharp but it did have a little residue on it; that came right up with an alcohol wipe.The case is a just a cheap plastic box and some bubble wrap. I was hoping for a foam padded tin like I've seen elsewhere. But this one was a good price and came next day after ordering.Overall I'm happy with the set, a little disappointed the case isn't better, but I got what I set out to get.

I admit it, I love collecting needlework boxes especially with the tools inside. I could think of worse addictions. At least I use mine and put them to good use, the plastic box was okay, will have to see how will it holds up.I can always put the tools inside a tin box that I have. It is nice that you can see exactly what you have inside. The needle case is something I didn't have, not in metal. Have several in wood so that is new to me.The metal thimble will just sit in the box since I only use leather ones, but it is nice. I do love the metal awl as it will come in handy for not only machine sewing but for hand embroidery. I had a wonderful brass one that got lost when I moved 6 years ago so this came to me just in time.

I received this set as a gift from my friend and I loved it so much that I bought another one while it's available. At first I wasn't sure if I liked this a bit unusual design with the curvature on the handle and a sharp edge of it. But then I found that it provides quite comfortable rest for the finger, or even two fingers depending on how you like to hold them. The scissors are very sharp and not too tight, which is always very important to me.When we buy scissors online, it's good to see what they look like in hand, but the sellers don't often provide those pictures. So I did. I hope you will find this helpful. My hands are average size S/M. The thimble in this kit is a bit heavy and too large for my finger but the awl is very nice.Overall I highly recommend this kit!

Very cute and pretty. Perfect sewing kit, bought for needlepoint projects. Very reasonable price for what you get. Will definitely buy several for Christmas little gifts or stocking stuffers.

As other have mentioned, the scissors are surprisingly sharp and well made. They even have an adjustable nut.Others have mentioned a black substance on them. It’s the oxidizing chemical (used to make it look antique) as well as the rouge used to polish them - they seem to be plated, and the plating was polished. I just washed mine in warm soapy water and dried them well to get rid of any residue.If you’re wondering what the flat piece with the slot is, it’s a ribbon bobbin. It’s used for threading ribbon through Cluny and other types of lace. Modern bobbins look a bit like roach clips.
