Replaced the $62 fan with this $21 fan, and this one is better. It does whistle a bit more, but most importantly, the bearings don't rattle, and I'm hoping it doesn't grind to a halt after two years.

Fits & works great!
5 stars because of performance, price, size, and ease of installation of this unit in my almost 40-years-old fireplace furnace insert. When the original fan died after almost four decades of use, I figured an internet search for a new one would quickly lead to an exact replacement along with a PDF of how to extract the old fan. Unfortunately, even tho I still have the insert manufacturer's name and model #, the result was zero hits. Apparently they went out of business in the previous century.Without instructions, what took the most amount of time was figuring out how to remove the dead fan. I figured it couldn't be overly complicated or work-intensive. It wasn't. Actually, once I solved the removal question, getting this new fan installed took less than 10 minutes to be up and running. The pre-drilled holes in this BBQ Factory fan for attaching it to the insert's mounting plate didn't quite match the existing holes for the old fan. No problem. I simply drilled new holes where needed in the insert's fan mounting plate. So, in my case, the tools required included an adjustable wrench (to remove the facade of the fireplace insert), a Phillips head screwdriver, a power drill and a 1/8" drill bit. Having the instructions that came with the fireplace insert would probably be very helpful. This model BBQ Factory fan does not include any electrical wiring, just two bare metal male terminals by the motor. You might be able to use the power cord from your old fan if it has female terminal connectors.I have no way of measuring the maximum airflow of this blower, but 110 CFM at max RPM seems about right. As far as noise, my insert has a built-in rheostat, so, like any fan, the faster it runs, the louder it gets. Just for reference, with our TV on at normal volume and the fan running at about three-quarter speed, the fan noise isn't a distraction.

You're probably getting what you pay for...
The blower on our Napoleon wood stove finally gave it up and I found this one listed at a direct replacement for it. The price seemed very reasonable and the reviews decent so I just went ahead and snagged a couple of them so I'd have an extra on the shelf. The good:It DOES fit and operate the way it's supposed to. It also moved a reasonable amount of air.The bad:It "sings". I say that because it's not really a whine or squeal... It just makes this high pitched harmonic sound that, at first, makes you think, "well... it's not TOO bad. I hardly notice it..." Then later, after hours and days of it running all the time, you will be trying to hold on to your sanity because it's all you hear... ALL the time. You, like me, will most likely wind up wishing that you had not tried to save some money by buying this blower fan. If things go like they did for me, you will be in a quandy about returning it because you can't really be without ANY blower for the length of time it would take for the refund/reorder process.Save your sanity and buy a good one the first time around instead.

Fit my Napolean 1402!!!!!
I have a Napolean 1402 fireplace insert and this fan works so well. I can't believe how quiet it is. I actually purchased two of these but only installed one because only one of my fans ( left one) was bad. I can barely hear my fans now. I just mounted the fan and hooked up the wires and voila! Removing the screws on the stove was the most challenging part of installation because I didn't have a magnetic socket and my screws kept falling. I didn't have any vaseline to squirt into the socket to create a ' glue' so I used neosporin and it held the screw in my socket very well. I didn't drop one screw after that. I should also note that the original fans that came with my stove have an additional piece attached to the fan that helps direct the air flow. That piece would not attach to this fan and I was worried at first but discovered that they aren't necessary. I get excellent air flow now and best of all, PEACE AND QUIET!Every company I contacted to to replace my fans wanted between 100 and 135 dollars for the fan plus an additional 100 for installation. I am so glad that I saved myself almost 300 dollars! Happy birthday to me!

Appears like it will fit
I bought this blower to keep on hand as a spare for a Napoleon 1900 woodstove. I believe it would be a direct replacement as this blower looks identical to another brand blower I used to replace the worn out blower on the woodstove.

Moves the Air. Cheaper Replacement.
I have a Kozy Heat 231. The replacement for one blower is almost $100. I took a chance on this and was wowed! This really moves the air. That's exactly what I wanted. It was not the same size as the 600-1 replacement, but I was able to screw it onto the housing and it works great. I run my fireplace 24/7 8 months out of the year. Sometimes I get it glowing red I have so much wood in it. I need something that will move the air. I have a big house to heat and I run my fireplace to heat my whole house. Yes, this is noisy, but that's fine as I have a humidifier running in the house as well. I hope this last a while. I've replaced 5 bad fans in 15 years as they just wear out and start to squeak.

Works fine
This fan/motor works just fine as a replacement for the nine year old fan/motor that started rattling and making alot of noise. The fan/motor from the stove manufacturer was over 200 bucks plus shipping. I thought I’d give the $35 Amazon fan/motor a whirl. I choose this particular fan/motor because it looked most like the orginal. The air outlet of the fan assembly is about a 1/2” narrower than the original fan assembly. No problem as I had a roll of foil HVAC tape laying around so I used it to cover the gap. Duct tape would work too.
