Pledge Wood Oil, Expert Care, Trigger, Orange Scent, 16 oz (Pack of 1)

While I have used this product for years to clean and dust furniture I also found it has an alternative use. Every spring we get ants, the small black ones. We have tried absolutely everything to stop them. Nothing has worked. The biggest entry point is my kitchen window. These ants are just small enough to get through the spaces at the sides of the screens. I like to keep my windows open and they are very attracted to my plants. They would swarm whenever I watered them.One day I was cleaning and out of frustration I picked up a bottle of Pledge Revitalizing Oil and sprayed a few ants. It stopped them in their tracks. Nothing else worked like that except bug spray, which I will not use in the kitchen. So after seeing the ants die so quickly I searched and sprayed all the places where they got into the house. It stopped them dead, no more ants.I think it works because of the oil which probably clogs their breathing and the intense orange which is probably poisonous to them. But I'm not sure why it works really. I have recommended it to other people but I don't know if they had success. Its possible they thought I meant the regular Pledge spray. Which does not work for ants by the way.We still get ants every spring. But now I can anticipate them and I spray the areas they like to frequent and especially around the edges of the screens in the kitchen windows. I can now leave them open without fear of walking into my kitchento find ants crawling all over. I normally spray about once a month during the summer. I have been doing this for about 10 years now. It works great and smells alot better than pesticides and I think its probably safer.I am updating this review, 10.24.13This is year the first year I have had no ants. Previously I would wait until I saw ants. This year I decided to do a little pre-emptive strike. I sprayed the areas they normally come into the house a few weeks earlier. Ta da! No ants this year. And I had the kitchen window open quite a bit all spring and summer. I will always keeps a bottle of this in my house.

I discovered this on Amazon and happy I did. I’d been using the aerosol version of lemon pledge on my composite brown stone-like sink but holding it in the directions necessary to spray both sides of my kitchen sink it ran out of aerosol quickly. This liquid spray works great. It is hard to keep these kinds of sinks looking new but lemon pledge works great. I gave this tip to my new neighbor and it kept them from replacing their black kitchen sink.

I have a cleaning business and I clean a very large house with tons of wood everywhere and this shined everything up very nice. Unlike the product instructions I found it best to spray on a microfiber cloth and wipe, after a while you get a build up and don’t really need any more of the product. A little bit goes a very long way. The house looked amazing when we were done and the owners were very impressed. It also has a nice citrus smell. Be careful not to over use. A little bit goes a very long way. You have to work it in so it’s not too greasy. Take your time do it right and you will be in love with the results.

I have been using another product to clean up and polish my old counter tops, and while it worked, it was only temporary (lasted about 24 hours). My realtor told me that she recommended Pledge restoring oil and so I ordered some and gave it a try. I applied a very LIGHT coat to one portion of my counter top, rubbed it in, and used the same rag to restore the remaining counter top. I did this 4 days ago and the counter tops look NEW...no fading...no splotches, etc. Until I can afford to put in solid surface counter tops, I will continue to use this.

Leaves a shining surface, cleans well, but the efect doesnt last long. I dont know if all those products are similar, that you have to use in a regular basics, but with this you have to.

I have many high-quality wicker/rattan baskets, furniture and decor around the house. They are old, brittle, and they were so dry they would squeak and break when I pick them up. This spray oil is PERFECT for lubing up and nourishing the wicker baskets and rattan decor. I fully saturated my baskets with the oil (direct spray, no cloth) and let it fully absorb. The spray easily and effectively penetrates the folds and twists of the wicker. An instant fix for squeaky baskets and replenished them to make them look new again.

I bought this a year ago and that's how long it lasted with me dusting every week. It leaves a beautiful shine finish. Makes your furniture look brand new again. Lasts a long time too. Not too greasy . A little goes a long way. I don't suggest you spray it on the furniture directly in case you accidentally get some on the couch ,etc. It is oil. It will leave a stain. But good old dawn dish detergent will get rid of the stain. I will only buy this product from now on.
