Black and Decker JC250 220 to 240-volt Electric Tea Kettle, 1.7-Liter

The kettle itself is really nice, good quality,as is usually the case with Black and Decker items. The problem is that I don't think many households will be able to use this item, because of the electrical plug. It does NOT fit into any of my grounded outlets. The shape of the prongs looks like the ones that only fit into hotel outlets. (I always thought that hotels did this to prevent theft!) The vendor recognizes this; in the instruction manual, it suggests that the plug/cord can be switched in order to adapt to the more common grounded outlets. I am not an electrician. I just want to plug it in and make my tea! Therefore I am returning this otherwise perfect kettle.

This is one of the easiest 5 star reviews I've ever written. 1) it holds water as described 2) it makes any temperature of water into boiling water 3) it's 220 volts. 4) It heats water fairly quickly (full of water it's hot/boiling in 3-4 minutes) so a watched pot, does in fact, boil. 5) Endless amounts of possibilities for what you can mix with heated water.

Use this to brew coffee and make noddles while deployed. It works wells, but every so often the auto off switch doesn't kick off
