Works perfectly as expected! I bought this for a kids party and the only issue I faced was not having enough ice, as there are only 2 cups to freeze the water the night before. That’s fine and reasonable if you don’t have 6 kids who want snow cones! It did work great though (I tested it the morning of the party) and was pretty easy to use. One tip - make sure your ice freezes level, as it was a bit wonky to try to shave the ice when it wasn’t even as it was being pushed down. Overall good product at a good price point 👍🏼

This makes perfect shaved ice. It is incredibly easy to clean. Very simple to use. The only con is that it is loud. Then again it only takes ten seconds so the sound doesn’t last long. Not something for kids to use as it takes a little strength management and the blade is sharpe. Kids will love to flavor the ice and eat it tho! Really one of my favorites!

I bought this as a gift for my son for Christmas, and he loves it! We use the shaved ice machine every summer, and it is a super fun and easy sweet treat. it makes fluffy shaved ice really fast, and it is always a crowd pleaser. It is made out of a nice and hard plastic with a metal blade that shaves the ice. The only thing to keep in mind is that this machine is rather loud. I would definitely recommend buying this if you haven't already, and if you are looking for a fun and easy way to make shaved ice at home.

I love this seller!! This was the greatest thing I have ever ordered, and it arrived ahead of schedule, in perfect condition. This sno cone machine was exactly as advertised, if not better. It shaves ice perfectly, and can be used for so many different things; sno cones, slushies, margarita's, etc, and there is another benefit I stumbled across. If you have children, this sno cone machine is a must have. My great grandson is 1 1/2 and caught a nasty virus in his mouth and throat; big blisters all over. The poor thing couldn't eat or drink at all; wouldn't even swallow ice cream or his medicines. He would just cry and cry. I bought another machine just like mine and shipped it overnight to my granddaughter, and she had to really coax him to try the first bite. But when that ice (with a small amount of the syrups I also sent), touched his tongue, he just wanted more and more and I'll tell you, that child ate nothing for a full week or two, but asked for the sno cone constantly. The pain would subside and he was smiling. He was so ill that it took upwards of two weeks before he would even try anything solid, but would give mom no trouble at all as far as the ice was concerned. To me, that is a number one reason to have an electric Shaved Ice Machine by Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Her children also get tonsillitis and it it is a lifesaver then too. I also bought another one for my caregivers family, but it was a different brand, and she said it was good, but not near the one I have. Mine comes with two small plastic bowls and I fill them with water, freeze them, and have the perfect size sno cone. Just pop them out of the freezer and into the machine, and hold down the top of the machine. It is a little harder to hold down than the one that you just put a lid to and turn on, but mine produces a really great amount and texture of ice. I personally use it myself (with really badly damaged wrists) and it is fine, no problem with my wrists. I take medications that cause extremely bad dry mouth, and nothing works. I can drink glass after glass of water, and my mouth is still dry, NOT SO anymore!! I just shave a bowl of ice and eat it plain (no flavors) with a spoon. I no longer have that dehydrated feeling you get (especially in the summer). I eat probably upwards of five or six bowls a day, and NO guilt. Ice is sooooo good for you, right?!! And your teeth don't suffer from biting on an ice cube!! So, as you can see, there are many many benefits to this sno cone machine, and you can get creative and make your own syrups if you want. Just use 1 pkg of any flavor Kool-Aid and two cups of sugar. Mix together and bring to a boil, simmer two minutes, cool and voila, you have a great tasting flavor of your choice sno cone (and I use Splenda instead of sugar). You can also use Pedialite or Gatorade; you can take a small amount of the ice and put their medicine in it along with a little syrup. Be creative. There are so many ways to make or buy flavors. As you can tell, I am very much in love with this machine. It is in constant use at my house and is still like new; shaves the ice perfectly, and I've had it for almost a year now. Get this sno cone machine. You can trust this brand and it holds up to constant use!!

I use this ice shaver every day, and it definitely has some pros and cons. I'll do the cons first, because they're what I always want to know when I read a review. (Btw, I use this machine to make ice for my drinks in order to avoid breaking my teeth by chewing on ice. Keep that in mind when considering how the ice will react to flavored syrup). CONS: * If you use the ice in a drink within 24 hours, expect it to quickly melt. It needs about 24 hours in a freezer for it to compact enough to not melt right away. * The machine does NOT shave ice cubes well. Even though they fit in the container and the instructions say you can, it takes forever for the machine to shave them. You really have to use ice made in the circular containers they give you --- if you do, it shaves the ice fairly quickly. * You have to push down on the power button as you shave the ice. This bothers me, since I'm afraid it's going to cause the motor to wear out quicker. I'd much rather there be a switch. * The machine is in two pieces, and the top only connects to the bottom by a fairly thin piece of plastic. Since you have to exert a lot of pressure on the top in order to power the machine and shave the ice, I'm afraid it is going to break one day (though three months later, it's still going strong). I try to take care of it by supporting the underside of the top with my fingers and only using my thumbs to exert downward force on the machine. * The no-slip pad is pretty useless. It curls quickly and doesn't stay stuck to the machine. * The machine leaves 1/4" thick disc of ice at the bottom every time it shaves. I guess it can't reach all the way down. Not sure why it's manufactured that way, but it seems a big waste to me. * After three months of daily use, the machine seems to be having a harder time cutting ice --- almost as if the ice were slipping past the blade. However, as far as I can tell, the mechanism inside is still tight and the blade is still sharp, so I'm not sure why that would be the case. PROS: * Shaving the ice right after removing it from the circular container results in small crystal pieces, while letting it melt a little results in long flakes. * If you use the circular containers to make ice, the machine is fairly quick to shave it (within about 20 seconds depending on how much you let the ice melt). * It is less noisy than some other machines, though it still makes a loud whirring sound when you're shaving the ice. * After three months of use, it's still going strong. After trying the machine out, I debated whether or not to return it. I ended up keeping it, mostly because I didn't really see a better option for the price. It works for me as long as I let the ice sit for 24 hours (I rotate two bags --- one "old" ice for eating and one "freshly shaved" for sitting) so it's frozen enough to not immediately melt. Not sure if I would order it again. I'm still waiting to see if it lasts out the year.

Bowl of shaved ice in less than a minute! Its loud but not as loud as the other brands that use ice cubes. Ice is almost that snow texture, I’ll try to adjust the blade height next time to get that real snow fluffy texture but out of thw box, it’s perfect. Lets see if this will last for more than 2 weeks. Why 2 weeks? Because thats just how long the other brand lasted then stopped giving ice

Simple operating machines and gives uniform and fine shaved ice to enjoy varieties of desserts

when I ordered this I was very nervous because my wife was asking for a different chewable ice maker and I had to convince her before buying this. Once we received it and just after the first use she fell in love with this ice shaver. It works amazingly easy and the shaved ice is much better than what my wife was looking for. By the way, we tried and noticed that almost any shape of ice as long as it fits inside the barrel can be used. You do not necessarily need to use its own provided ice molds.

This has been great and with a little practice you can get the consistency just right for shaved ice. Too much pressure and it comes out more like sno cone. Has been great for summer treats.

This product has been great to use, but its lacking a quality feel for the price paid. One of the things thats frustrating with it, is the fact of how you crush/shave the ice, you have to lift the top off and push it down onto the ice, but it is poorly designed and unable to actually finish crushing/shaving the ice fully.
