It’s perfect (well almost!)
So I purchased this after reading the reviews (some good some bad).Right let’s clear some things up;Does it fit a domestic drill, yes! A domestic drill standard chuck should be up to 13mm so this will fit.Is it sharp? Yes but it’s not made of a particularly hard material so don’t expect it to last forever. But of course you can regrind the tip.Is it accurate? Well it’s OK I wouldn’t use it for precise drilling but it’s accurate enough for diy/ home engineer.Value? Amazing!!! It’s cheap as chips, a high quality drill bit of this size would be ten times the price.Overall... for the money it’s great value, I used it to open up some nylon bushings and it was great and left a smooth face.Yes it’s a little inaccurate in size and won’t last forever but for a fiver I see it as a consumable item, use it for a few jobs until it’s worn out bin it and get a new one.

Excellent bit
Can't find any faults with this bit. Good quality and has drilled though 1/2 inch steel no problem

Good bit, bad ad.
I was a little hesitant about buying this bit going by some of the other reviews on here, but at the time I needed one for a one off job and the price was right.I've so far found this to be a half decent bit of kit, having used it to drill multiple holes through scaffold poles and sheet steel up to 6mm thick and it's still going. It does cut with relative ease provided that plenty of oil is used and the rotation is very slow, but it does catch and snag on the metal from time to time. If not kept well oiled when cutting, these bits will quickly dull and the steel becomes too soft to re-sharpen easily. The only real issue I've got with this is it's sale description, particularly the bit about a reduced shank - there basically isn't one. The very misleading sale picture implied to me a shank diameter of 7 to 8mm or so which would indeed fit most domestic drills, but the actual bit only reduces by 1mm leaving a shank of 13mm - far too big for most smaller drills. I also found the total length of the bit to be about 151 mm. I used this in a Bosch CSB percussion drill and it fitted and went fine, but I can see why some people couldn't get it to fit their drills. Definitely check your drill beforehand - it's a chunky thing! Other than that, the general shape of the bit is slightly different, but it's still 14mm.Overall, for the money you pay, I think this is a decent tool that can withstand a beating providing it's looked after - plenty oil and slow rotation is vital, and I would buy another one if needed. Just don't expect to crack any safes with it.

good value 14mm dia drill bit
This works well. I used a pilot hole first and this made the drilling a doddle. Keep the drill speeds low and use a side handle next to the chuck to stop snatching.

It tured round like I expected

Fits my drill with 13mm chuck fine
I had read some reviews that this drill bit was not as described as it didn't fit their drill and was a bit worried. The drill fits perfectly in my normal domestic electric drill with a 13mm chuck. I think the problem people have had is they are trying to use this in a smaller cordless drill that only has a 10mm chuck which probably would not be man enough for drilling a hole that size in anywise.

Just the drill bit I needed for a particular small ...
Just the drill bit I needed for a particular small job and it performed as it should. Don't know what one of the reviewers meant when he remarked about the shank diameter not being as advertised. What you see in the picture is exactly what I got and not being a professional I used in my common cheapo drill with a common cheapo chuck, and it did the job.

Not safe to use.
There was a massive casting flaw in it, end to end.Had I actually tried to use it to drill anything harder than butter it would probably have exploded.I opened the package, took one look at it and binned it.Total waste of time and money, and potentially hazardous to-boot.

Buon prodotto
