GoodFixer for Apple iPad 2 Battery Replacement [Not Air 2],Just for Model A1395,A1396,A1397, with Complete Repair Tools, New 0 Cycle - 6930mAh Li-ion Replacement Battery

A bit of a story here. The first battery I ordered from Goodfixer on Amazon arrived without the tools. I called Amazon requesting they send just the tools, but they couldn't, they sent me the correct complete kit with tools instead. Free of charge. They let me keep the first battery, that was nice, because returning is a 30 mile round trip to UPS drop off point. Customer service was very nice, as always with Amazon. But as it turned out, once I got the second kit with tools and opened up the iPad, I found that the battery was not for an iPad Air 2! I had originally searched for iPad Air 2 Battery w/tools, and the first item to come up, the one i bought, was for "iPad Air", plus a bunch of other models. I incorrectly assumed that since I searched for Air 2, that both Air 1 and 2 used the same one. But they don't. So now I have two batteries. I emailed GoodFixer support directly, and sent them pictures of the two Amazon orders, and the new and old batteries, showing the incorrect position of the battery connection. It was then that I discovered the battery was for iPad Air 1, NOT 2. They told me to just order the correct battery from Amazon, and after installing, simply take a picture of the review I leave here, and they will refund me directly, for the last purchase on Amazon. Very nice, very helpful. Battery install went as expected, a little bit touchy making the battery connection, but I completed the task without damaging any iPad parts! :) A confusing story, but it all worked out well. Charged battery overnight, and it's doing fine. Was a pleasure dealing with both Amazon and Goodfixer customer support. Thanks again to both parties! I might update this review on the longer term health and performance of the new battery. But so far, so good. I would buy from Goodfixer again, the toolkit was more extensive than others I've gotten. Covered all the bases, they send everything they show in the picture online.

Great battery, Works as intended, I installed it myself in 2020! One year later I totally destroyed my iPad Mini. So I took the battery out. Place it in a gallon bag put it outside in the box. I forgot about it for 3 and a half years. I just took it out. There's nothing wrong with it. Still at 3.78v its unreal to me that it lasted that long in crazy weather like -20 in the winter and 115 in the summer plus it was Surrounded by water. I got said it was in a bag plastic bag, thank goodness! I really want to use it for something else so I see!!! And To that, they don't have these anymore unavailable!!

Kit contains a good quality battery and all tools necessary. However I would not attempt this repair unless you consider yourself to be highly technical and good with your hands. Also be aware that the kit includes no instructions so you’re on your own. You’ll be depending on dubious YouTube videos to figure it out. Couple of notes: The original battery in my iPad had swollen so badly that it lifted the screen off on one side. Turned out to be a good thing, as half the screen removal work was already done for me. If your screen is still solidly attached all the way around, you’ll probably struggle to get it removed without damaging anything. Be very careful around the right side of the bottom button. There’s a fragile ribbon cable right there. The original battery was stuck down SUPER TIGHT with glue. I know I must have damaged it when removing it, and that’s kinda dangerous. Be careful. Shorting out a powerful Li-Ion battery is no joke. You’ll need to remove one screw once the screen is off, and it’s tiny. I mean, TINY! Don’t lose it. The included screwdriver is magnetic, and that helps. Getting the battery connector to go back under the slot where the screw was removed is a total b*tch. You’ll have to do some prying and prodding and cursing. I didn’t use the replacement adhesive strips, as the screen stuck back down tightly without them. Obviously Apple does not want you to try this repair yourself. If you’re doubtful of your skills, take your IPad to an Apple Store and spend the $100 for the repair. All in all it worked out OK for me but I’m an IT guy and I also work with tiny parts in repairing vintage watches. I still struggled with this.

This is a petty good battery super simple to install. You just need a heat gun to remove the old battery. it’s really affordable way better prices than apple itself. Only thing I don’t like my battery won’t Charge to 100%. maybe it’s defective. Other than that it gives very long battery life. I would buy it again

The kit was good and not to bad to replace but did notice that the battery want the longest lasting, but better then the one that was in it before that wouldn't even change of good for that. Battery life may very for other people.

I Installed the battery, put the i-pad back together and plugged it into the charger cable. It powered on correctly, and showed it was charging, after several hours battery level was still at 1%, it shut off as soon as I removed the cable. I took it back apart and double checked all the connections, but everything was correct. I tried again to charge but it still did not work. I sent the seller 3 emails about the problem, and never got any response. I purchased a competitive brand from another vendor which worked perfectly. I would suggest you find someone else to purchase from.

Lucked out: oem battery ballooned and pushed the screen out from the casing so I didn't have to do the full heat gun around the digitizer step. Tried to use a hair dryer to loosen the battery but ended up using the included plastic scraper (I think the hair dryer actually helped a bit). Be careful, the battery connector tab has a small loop that holds onto a metallic post: I ripped this off of the old battery during removal. The pcb board around the battery connector needs to be raised to remove the old battery and also to install the new battery. Watch a few YT videos and you'll see why. Product doesn't include new glue strips so don't remove the old glue around the casing and digitizer. Used hair dryer on the old glue to loosen them up and smashed the pieces back together. So far so good and I'm typing this review on the iPad that I fixed. Battery life seems decent, actually pretty good for the price point. I don't recommend to people who've never taken apart glued mobile devices before. For the rest of us? Go ahead and get it.

Product was exactly as described and although I was concerned that installing might be a significant challenge, I found that after careful review of YouTube video instruction, the process was relatively straightforward. I was delighted when my iPad came ‘back to life’ after the installation was complete but was concerned that on attaching to a charging cable, the battery indicator did not register that the unit was charging. I wrote an email to the manufacturer of the battery and they responded with helpful guidance immeddiaty (late on a Saturday afternoon) and indicated that should I continue to have problems they would be happy to replace the battery with a new one. Delighted with product (so far), ease of installation and unexpectedly great customer service!

La batterie s'adapte parfaitement et semble de bonne qualité. Par contre je vous déconseille de commander le kit comprenant les adhésifs qui ne correspondent pas.
