Works OK
This works OK for making rice cakes but is not exactly what I want. For the price it at least makes OK rice cakes. My 2 cents: First off it is just a little smaller than the traditional rice cake press. Secondly, the toppings go on top (not the bottom) and then are compressed. In a traditional mold The toppings go in first, then the rice, then it is compressed. This makes it harder to get nice looking designs on the rice cake. Still using this but continuing to look for a reasonably priced traditional one.On the plus side, this is a snap to clean!

When Life Gives You Spam …
Since purchasing this, I make spam masubis almost every other month and try different flavors of Spam. This device is easy to form the rice base and very easy to wash with no rice sticking. It is the perfect size for the width of a slice of Spam. Get one today!

Spam is to damn expensive 😂
Don’t look any further if you love Musubi and who doesn’t. Hand wash it and you can pass this on to your grandchildren. You will not be able to keep a can of spam in the house. Your rice will also be in trouble. Just a hint… if rice is still hot add a piece of cheese before the spam… you will not be disappointed.

Great Musubi Press/Mold for the novice or professional chef for the price.
I originally purchased 5 of these to make Hawaiin Spam Musubi. This little press mold works perfectly as advertised and is non stick. I have given away 3 of the presses to family and friends much to their delight. Since then I have branched out with different combinations such as baloney and scrambled eggs, bacon and eggs with cheese, ham and cucumber slices, shrimp and julienne carrots, and kimchi to name a few. The list of recipes/combinations is only limited by your imagination. Keep in mind that you will need to have a source for small grain sushi rice and Nori (seaweed) for your Musubi to work out right. Also keep in mind to make only make enough to consume within a couple of hours as the Nori will eventually get slimy. It doesn't detract from the taste, only the texture. Also of note, if you have access to good Asian grocery store that carries Ebi Fumi Furikake, Samon Furikake, or Noritamago Furikake do not hesitate to include them in your Musubi combinations.Received all 5 quickly, undamaged, and ready to use right out of the packaging once washed. All the 'How To Use' instructions are in Japanese, but you should easily figure out how to use the press from the colored pictures.I will be ordering more presses in the future from this vendor.

Awesome!
This mold makes it super easy to make musubi. After cooking some rice and frying some spam, just pour rice in the mold, use the press to compress it down, top with spam, and wrap with seaweed. Can’t get much easier than that, and it comes out tasting like some giant spam sushi.Clean up is super easy too; just a quick rinse and wipe down in the sink should do the job. I tossed the packaging before looking for the care instructions, but I would hand wash this only... even though it’s made of thick, durable plastic, it may be prone to melting in the dishwasher.Overall - highly recommended, I love it! If you look around on the internet too, there’s tons of recipes out there to make a lot of different types of musubi.
