Excellent Home Sauna โ Convenient, Powerful, and Worth It
I absolutely love having this sauna at home. The convenience alone is a game changer โ no scheduling, no driving, just step in and use it whenever I want. It has become a seamless part of my routine. Assembly was surprisingly easy, and the unit itself is very user-friendly and straightforward to operate. In terms of performance, Iโve been extremely impressed. Honestly, it works as well as โ if not better than โ the sauna I was previously using at a wellness clinic, which makes this an incredible value for the price. It heats efficiently, functions exactly as advertised, and clearly does what itโs intended to do. For the cost, the functionality and effectiveness exceeded my expectations. The only downside: one small part arrived slightly damaged. It wasnโt a major issue and didnโt prevent me from using or enjoying the sauna, but for the price point I would expect smoother resolution. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service at JNH hasnโt been very helpful so far. Itโs something to consider if you were to encounter a more serious issue. That said, the product itself is excellent, and I would absolutely still recommend it. The quality, performance, and convenience far outweigh the minor hiccup

Excellent value for money
Update June 2025: It has now been many years since we purchased and assembled the sauna, and it is still working great. A few years ago we installed two larger outdoor rated patio speakers inside the sauna on the ceiling and connected them to a small amp and a Chromecast audio. These are better then the tiny speakers that the sauna comes with. We love the sauna. Great value for money. Update: Two days after I posted my review I was contacted by JNH. They were very apologetic and I appreciate their getting back to me. They send me a complimentary color light bulb. I am updating the rating from 4 starts to 5. In reality, I am going from a 4.25 to a 4.75! I apologize for not updating the review earlier - life got in the way. My wife and I have been enjoying the sauna a lot. I have weatherstripping on all four sides of the door and that makes the sauna much hotter. We now keep the sauna at just 125 F. -----Original Review----- First let me say that I have had this sauna for about a month and my wife and I love this JNH 2 person FIR sauna and we use it five times a week. The delivery folks were efficient and called and let us know when they would arrive. They left the three large boxes at the entrance to my house. My wife and I took the individual boxes inside. Setup was super easy and took us a little more than an hour. The instructions were clear. I had purchased a switched outlet from Amazon so that I would not have to unplug the sauna after every use. The glass door does not seal tight and results in cold air coming in. The cold air resulted in our feet staying cold. So I purchased a 3/8" wide 3/16" thick brown foam weatherstripping from Home Dep and applied it along three sides of the door frame (this weatherstripping foam was too thick to apply along the long side of the door where the magnetic latch is. I will buy some V weatherstripping for this side.) After the weatherstripping was applied the sauna became much warmer, and now it uses less electricity. Now, at 130F for 40 minutes the sauna uses only 0.85 kWh. The bench is plenty wide for my wife and me to sit side by side. We use JNH's backrests. I cut two 22" long pieces of 1x4 pine lumber and placed them flat against the back wall and then the backrests are butted up against the 1x4 pieces. This lets me recline the backrests and prevents the backrests from sliding back. You can use 1x6 pieces for a bigger recline. I used two 22" pieces rather than one long 44" piece so that my wife and I can independently control our recline. When only one of us is using the sauna we sit sideways with our feet on the bench (knees bent) and the backrest is placed horizontally against the side wall. It fits great. The 'premium speakers' are not good and after testing it I have never used them. Instead I purchased a 2.1 power subwoofer computer speaker unit which I have placed on top of the sauna. The tweeters are placed on top of the vent holes (and the plastic vents inside are kept open). The subwoofer is placed on top of the sauna with the speaker pointing down. My phone is placed on a small side table outside the sauna and I start the music before entering the sauna. The sound is much better than from the built in speakers. JNH's customer service was, surprisingly, not all that great. They never called me. I called to complain about the drafty, leaky door and the lady said it was a feature to allow air circulation! They said they would call back in a few days to check in on my experience, but they did not.

So far so good. Update 2/13/19
Just got it. It took two hours to set up completely, but it took two people, one of them (the other guy) an experienced handyman. It came through delivery without a scratch, the parts fitted perfectly. Turned it on and it was ready to go (after a couple of initial one hour heatings recommended by the manufacturer). I don't expect any problems; it heated up nicely. Our bedroom has one of those enormous closets, maybe 8' x 8'. It fits nicely into that. We had a dedicated outlet installed, though I think that may not be necessary for this model, and a switch governing that outlet. That's a really good idea unless you want your sauna to be using energy all the time. I'm not sure how well the back rests will work out. So far they feel fine. I'll return to revise this if any serious problems pop up. (Oh, one thing; I think the floor could use a little more support.) Right now it seems to be a wonderful deal: a good looking sauna in our house for a thousand bucks. I would recommend it to friends, with the cautionary note that we haven't tested it out. 11/11/18. We've had it for a month now, use it every day. The five stars remain. There is an expensive lamp that must be purchased separately (you're told an ordinary LED can't be used--doubtful), or you can do without. I was promised the lamp free in return for an honest review. I complied, although I'm skeptical about how honest a review can be when bargained for like that. Still, everything I said above was true. We've now been using it regularly and it works like the proverbial charm. I sweat profusely when I use it. I crank it up to 140, wait for at least fifteen or twenty minutes for it to warm up, and stay in between twenty and thirty minutes. I follow it with a shower, first hot then cool. A couple of notes: I did have a handyman help with the assembly. I made the delivery man wait while I opened and inspected the parts; don't be reluctant to do that. And it does take a bit to warm up--wait at least fifteen minutes. 2/13/19: Four months. Use it every day. Very satisfied. The color-changing light is a pointless addition. Still havenโt figured ourhow to use sound system.

Glad I purchased this
This has been a great sauna. It warms up quickly, holds the heat, and the timer, lights, and remote control are great. Assembly definitely takes two people due to the size, bulk, and weight of the pieces; however, the instructions are very easy and straightforward and can be assembled in an hour or two. A word of warning, this thing was delivered in one giant crate on a pallet and it was impossible for two people to move it. It had to be opened in the driveway and brought into the house piece-by-piece. Delivered early though, so that's a plus. Once you use it though, you can feel the heat radiating off the panels, and it feels great in you joints and bones. Can have a good sweat worked up in under 10 minutes. The price point on this is a little high, but I will say, I am glad I purchased it and I will get a lot of use out of it. This sauna makes me happy that I decided to go with the Infrared (dry) instead of my first choice, the traditional steam sauna. Cleaning it is easy-peasy. Also, makes a great conversation piece when friends come over. They've all wanted to try it.

Good value for the price
The delivery company followed up multiple times to ensure an on time delivery and thus the delivery was a breeze and on time. The driver was also friendly. It comes in three boxes which can be awkward and heavy if handled alone but safely manageable if you use your head. Packaging was good although one of the small wood pieces of a panel was floating around the box when I received it. Easily goes together while following the directions. Individual pieces are easy to manage for one person; although it is heavier the the front panel is also manageable for one person. It's all plug and play so once everything is installed and plugged into their appropriate spots its just a matter of plugging it into a regular wall outlet. After following the directions and running it a couple times turned all the way up it's time to set it to your desired temperature and enjoy. I'd recommend buying your own aux cable, laying a towel on the seat and floor if you sweat a lot, and to purchase the back and neck rests to keep your body off of the heaters. The back and neck rests are worth the money to me. I did have a few issues with the sauna when I received it so I called the number on the paperwork and the service department at JNH and I figured out what the issues were. They then promptly sent out the appropriate parts, and although I wish I didn't have issues with the sauna it has been a great customer service experience so far. Some things worth noting about expectations. Although it looks nice upon first glance this is not a fine piece of furniture. There are visible saw marks on some of my panels, the finish on the outside, and the hardware included leave a bit to be desired. Small nail holes and ones that were puttied are also visible. There are also sanding marks where two pieces that were joined together at the factory didn't line up correctly and were sanded down to be flush which is very noticeable. Especially being on the front panel. The hemlock is about 5 mm thick or just over an 1/8". I haven't measured the temperature yet for accuracy but I sweat almost immediately when stepping in at a temp on the panel of 116. My biggest pet peeve so far is that I paid to be able to use 100% of the sauna I paid for without additional expense, and not 80-90% of what I paid for. The chromolight fixture and plug for the ionizer inside the sauna only work with their SPECIALLY DESIGNED JNH products so they're pretty much useless for anything unless you separately purchase and pay the JNH exuberant prices for their products to use whats included inside the sauna. So I picked up an ionizer and chromolight with an appropriate lamp for less than the cost of one of there products. Still can't use 100% of what I purchased but whatever. Had I paid more for this sauna I'd be a lot more critical but that being said it is worth the price not having to leave home to use a sauna.

Great Sauna, been going strong for 2 years now.
Got this sauna toward the end of 2016, two years later still lovin' it. Purchased it at $1099. Delivery came in a few large rectangular boxes which were wrapped together with thick plastic wrap. They wheeled it in to my garage where I could separate the boxes and transport them individually to their final destination room fairly easily. Had someone help me assemble, which took about a couple of hours. I like to read the instructions thoroughly rather than rush through. It was easy to assemble, and instructions were clear. When new there's a pretty strong scent of Canadian Hemlock, which is pleasant to smell. But even after two years you can still smell the wood, which is I think a good thing. I use it a couple times a week, usually after working out, but more in the winter so its seen a lot of use in the last two years. At first I was worried that 140 F would not be hot enough as traditional saunas i.e. at the gym go much hotter, but with with the Infrared heating panels, 140 F is plenty hot enough to get a good sweat going. I typically stay in there for about 45 minutes, toweling down 3 times. It takes about 20 minutes to get a good sweat going for me. Obviously this would depend on how warm it is outside as well. Hot rock sauna might take about 15 minutes to get sweating... As they say the closer you get to the panels the warmer it is, for that reason I rotate from seated on the left then to right and then sit horizontally on the bench with my feet up, and reverse orientation back to left, then repeat, each switch happening at 4 minutes. Little confusing but it gets each side even exposure to the heat. It's considered a 2 person sauna, but with two people it would get pretty cramped in there, so I think its perfect for one person. I think in general if you subtract 1 person from the advertised capacity then at most that's what it would be comfortable fitting. I enjoy using the speaker input, but I need to run a cable from the back of the sauna out through a gap in the front glass door as I prefer not to leave my electronic devices inside the sauna. The heat can't possibly be good for my phone. It would be nice to have a built in bluetooth receiver that is embedded in the wall (so as to not be exposed to the heat), but I can live without that. There's a light (small led) at the top of the sauna above the speaker input, that provides enough light to read a book if you so wished, but its far from bright. I would recommend getting the chromotherapy light if you wanted real illumination. Unfortunately this light costs like $80 and is the only light you can use with the sauna. I did end up purchasing the backrests so that I can leave up against the heating panels without burning my back. I think this is a must with any sauna, the ability to lean against something. Small gripe, but I also wished that the sauna would have a faster way of setting the timer so that I don't have to go from 0 to 59 minutes each time I turn it on, but that's pretty nit-picky. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and look forward to many more years of in-home sauna use in the future.

Best Home Purchase Yet
We bought this sauna after my wife stopped going to her salon that had one. We figured it would get used more at home anyway. We just received the 2 person sauna this week and so far, we love it! Delivery was easy - a skid dropped off to our garage with 3 packages (fair warning, they are big and hard for one person to move alone). We had no problem moving each piece upstairs with the 2 off us (though going around corners is a little tough). The directions could use some more detail, but it's not impossible to figure out if you're looking at the pieces. We were able to set it up in under 2hrs and while we had two people, it could potentially be done with one. Everything was smooth sailing and we fired up the unit as soon as everything was connected. Works like a dream! The panels heat up very quickly and the whole sauna was nice and toasty in just a few minutes. It's already helped with muscle soreness and headaches and we will be getting the chromotherapy light very soon so we're excited about that feature as well. We haven't fully tested the Bluetooth just yet but will likely use that more in the wintertime when the snow falls and we can spend some more time in there (it's 90 right now). Overall, this is the best home purchase we've made so far. A few things to note: 1. The 2 person uses a standard 15amp plug so no electrician is needed, however, I do think the 3-person and bigger use a higher amp so you may need to re-wire. 2. We had a few issues with the smaller stapled pieces popping out of the panels and the side of the door, so we just stapled them back in - no harm no foul, worse things happen with shipping. 3. We laid down some heavy-duty exercise mat under the unit to protect the floor - I would recommend this just in case - especially with hardwoods (we bought ours at home depot from the flooring section, it's made to go under treadmills). 4. And lastly, the unit can be dusty from the ride over, so be sure to wipe it down as you go with a dry cloth.

The ATTIC! Really?
The only place we have for the two person sauna is in the attic. Three stories up. The delivery driver had paperwork that said he was to assist in "inside" delivery. Taking pity on him, and knowing I did not want to share the rather disorganized space in the attic I told him help just getting it to the back door was quite sufficient, thank you. The packaging was quite amazing in its ability to protect the contents. And quite efficient to boot. I was impressed. And I unpacked on the driveway at the back door as I needed every inch of space to make the tight journey and knew the packaging was adding to overall dimensions. The set up was very straight forward. I would recommend having a helping hand, but I managed quite well alone. Bit of a juggling act with one person trying to hold in place and snap the buckles. But quite possible. Could not believe the degree of precision of the parts and how well they fit together. Truly a well made article through and through. And the instructions, quite clear and precise. The use of the sauna is just wonderful! Quickly heats to assigned temperature. Holds the temperature well and the controls are straight forward. All in all, I am quite satisfied with my purchase and the value. Oh, and the added safety feature of the timer is much appreciated. If I get interrupted before using the sauna it turns itself off after the appointed time. Well done, JNH. Thank you. If I could make a suggestion to improve the experience it would be to add instructions as to how to find time in a busy day to enjoy your sauna more. But I suspect that is beyond the range of tasks you want to undertake. As well it should be. Perhaps my joy will be sufficient motivation to be more creative and constructive about my time and priorities. My apologies for the tardy review. Been meaning to get to this since the day of arrival. Today is the day I tackled 326 emails in my inbox. So the deed is done and I'm on to the balance of the emails. Thanks again for a great product at a great price with great delivery and wonderful instructions. J Moberg PS, the Attic is calling my name.
