Works well on soft metals
I got this cutting oil to assist in tapping holes and cutting treads with my tap and die set. Using oil during either of these processes is highly recommended as not using lubrication tends to cause the cutting tools to dull rather quickly. Unfortunately I didn't realize this cutting oil was geared toward operations using soft metals (bronze, aluminum, brass, etc.) so I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use it with steel. That said it did work great on holes I tapped in in a block of brass leaving well cut threads. For the price of this oil you can't go wrong. A can should last a long time and help keep your tools sharp and in good working order. This is a good addition for anyone that uses taps and dies in their work or shop.

Really works finaly
Wow. Tried about 5 or 6 concoctions and not good. Drilling aluminum rods 3/4 inch 5 inchs long. Before got really long fine coils of aluminum. Like monster movie. Come twisting out like a snake. . Some 16 or more inchs. Well this tap magic really works. Use about 2 to 300 rpm to keep from over heating. Wide coils few inchs long. . Only needs a drop. When you open the container I use a 1 mm drill bit. But one of those heavy t pins will work. I didn't cut the nozzle. To many times got to much product. Be careful make a tiny hole. Tickled to death finally some that works drilling aluminum. 7/16 hole. Worked up from 1/4 inch then 5/16. Backed out the bit to clear the hole quite often

Nice
My dad was about to buy a smaller bottle of this for 35 dollars, for some reason some amazon listings are selling the same bottle for a stupid amount of money, however itโs a great lubricant for machining. Drilling through airplane grade aluminum is a breeze.

The plastic bottle isn't great
Wish this came in the metal can. The plastic bottle isn't great and it's messy to dispense. Otherwise it is a good product if you know tap magic. This aluminum formula has an unpleasant aroma but that can't be helped to do it's function.

Seemed to work. Holes got drilled.
I didn't try drilling into the aluminum bar without this. Only with it. But, a tool and die guy I know said it's standard to drill into metal with a cutting fluid. So I used it. Because he knows what he is talking about.

Great stuff
Been using this since i grew up. Dad had it now it's all I use. Smells something fierce. Don't eat but almost like candy. Forgot that smell. Wow. Takes just a drop and it cuts like butta.

Works well one small bottle goes a long way
I repurposed a large comercial stainless steel table into a kitchen counter and needed to remove the scratches. This really helped by reduced the scratching I was getting from dry sanding and greatly increased the life of my sanding disks. Purchased three bottles but only needed one.

Tap Magic: Can't Beat It
For drilling, cutting or thread tapping into aluminum, always use the proper fluid. I know there are substitutes out there but I found this to be the best. A little bit will go a long way. The ad shows a metal can, I received a plastic bottle but the contents did the job. I would buy again as I have used this many years ago with excellent results.
