I would recommend not using the self-watering feature immediately after repotting. Give your plants time to develop a strong root system first, then start adding water to the reservoir to avoid root rot in newly established plants. Also, be careful when using these pots during colder seasons, when plants receive less sunlight and temperatures are lower. I would love to see these pots available in larger sizes for bigger plants. The wicks keep the soil moist and you don’t have to worry about over watering or drainage since it’s a wicked bottom watering system. It’s simple and helps you when you have a million plants to take care of — I still always check with moisture meters to make sure no one needs an extra drink, but these do well. It’s hard to keep 2” pots moist, they dry out really quick. This system relieves that stress a bit. I currently only have to baby ferns using them, but they have been very happy! For being small and long, they are surprisingly stable, I believe the dirt and water holds it In Place pretty well.
