Great for a kid with ADHD
My granddaughter has ADHD and this book gave her a chance to laugh and recognize feelings and actions that she had. It was a great way to engage in conversation with her.

Great book to explain ADHD to elementary kids
I bought this for my 6 year old shortly after his ADHD diagnosis and read for a couple nights in a row. It really helped him understand what ADHD means and that it is not a bad thing but can be a huge asset.

The BEST description of ADD/ADHD for ANY age!
Since buying the first copy of this book (ADD is the same as ADHD, basically) for myself, I have bought at least 12 additional copies to give to my entire family and close friends. It is like a small child's picture book, each page featuring one large, adorable photo of a dog (many varieties) in action and one simple sentence at the bottom explaining the dog's point of view. The photos are delightful, and people of ALL ages would enjoy looking at them. Each sentence is easy to understand and will make the reader smile.Put together in the book, the difficult-to-understand, logic-defying disorder called Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder becomes clear to those who do not have it. No, we who have ADD/ADHD have been called lazy, stupid, crazy, or other untrue names since our early school years, and many of us believe these negative names are true. Even the ADD deniers may change their minds after reading this book.

Understand Dogs Better, and Understand Kids Better
This is the sort of simple language and words-and-pictures book normally assumed to be for children, and I would not hesitate to give it to a child. Still, I think it's at least as much for adults, especially those who live with or around a child with ADHD. Or perhaps a child one suspects might have such a "disorder" but has not been diagnosed.

Fact is, the term should be Attention Deficit Hyperactive DIFFERENCE, not disorder. As with Asperger's Syndrome (which all cats have), it's a description of a particular type of kid who may occasionally drive adults crazy, but is also very lovable and interesting. As pointed out on page 58, some very impressive geniuses have been ADHD types as children. Given a chance to grow and develop in their own way, they are a marvelous addition to the mix that is the human race.

Love This Series...
I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 stars ONLY because I think that the "All Cats Have Aspergers" is a bit better - but this book is outstanding to explain to kids (of all ages) what it must feel like to have ADHD. It treats the subject in a humorous way, but this author understands the problems that come with ADHD. Not all ADHD kids have exactly the same issues, not all of them will have everything this book shows, but they should find enough of themselves to understand themselves better... And that they're NOT the only ones struggling with these issues. Great job, wish I thought of this series myself! I've recommended both of these books to SPED teachers, they're great to leave out for kids to flip through.

Super cute book for all ages!
This is an awesome book for both kids and grown-ups, especially if they love dogs! Each page describes a symptom of ADHD and shows a photo of dogs that correspond with the symptom. It starts with the more challenging things and ends with the ways in which ADHD can show up in positive ways. Don’t think twice about getting this book for your ADHD loved one! (Or your ADHD self!)

I have a husband and a young child with adhd and I wanted this book to better understand my husband and son but also for my daughter to better understand them as well. What I really loved about this book was how much it focused on strengths so that my daughter and doesn't have negative feelings about her brother or fathers adhd walk in life. I want her to understand it but not see it in a negative light. This book was perfect for that. It is also a wonderful way to talk to my son about the way that he is feeling at times and some of his strengths. The pictures are hilarious and adorable and I strongly suggest it to anyone curious about understand the feelings of those who have adhd.

all dogs have ADHD
I work with dyslexics - covering reading, math and ADHA. This book had just arived as I started work with a very ADHD 13 year old. I loaned it to his granddad and my client was reading it on his way home. Granddad said my client was sitting in the back saying, "Yep, uh hun, right," etc. It hits the nail on the head without being condemning or berating. It gives the reader something to think about or to re-think their view of ADHD. Every parent of a ADHD child should have this book to read again and again as a gentle, fun, insightful reminder.
