Once installed, it does exactly what I wanted. The door slides smoothly, tracks straight, and the soft close and soft open parts make it feel quieter and a lot less abrupt than a basic setup. The aluminum rail feels solid once mounted. No obvious flex, and the rollers move cleanly without wobble or scraping. If you have basic carpentry tools and take your time, this is a doable DIY install. The instructions were good enough to follow, though I still dry fit everything first before putting it in the wall. One thing to know is the track comes in two sections, not one full piece. That makes alignment more finicky than it should be, and you want to be careful at the joint so the rollers do not feel a bump. I also noticed some of the soft close hardware is plastic, which is fine for now but does not really scream commercial grade to me. So for me this is a 4 star kit. Smooth, quiet, space saving, and solid in use, but the two piece rail and plastic bits keep it out of 5 star territory. Review: concern about longevity of the plastic wheels wearing at track joint - The 2 piece track was missing the metal joiner. I did not realize based on the description that the track was two separate pieces.
