Works great with 3d printed models used for a light source. Light is more diffused from the shared diffused multiple sources and easy to look at than the point sources that glare. You might have to build a base to raise your model and guide power wire/cable so your model does not sway on top of the power wire/cable. See the base I created to support the printed 2 models and light source that includes a wire gutter for the cable.

I ordered this to use in 3d printed lamps around the house. The lights are functional and fun and perfect for the application. I didn’t intend to use them as primary light sources and I doubt they would be able to create enough light for much more than a closet or pantry. However, as accent lights these work well and seem to be well built!

This a cheap product from china that works intermittently at best. Out of 3 only 1 works reliably, but you have to be 3-4 feet from the lamp for the controller to work. Would not purchase again and cannot recomment.

Great lights

The lights are used in 3d printed lights and work great. The size (type 001) is perfect and the remotes work well. The set is a good value for the money but could be - compared to the white type lights- a bit brighter.

This LED lamp kit works great for lighting up 3D printed projects. I have used the lamps in several builds, including display bases and small decorative models, and the RGB lighting adds a clean, vibrant glow. The LEDs are bright, respond well to controls, and are easy to integrate into custom prints since the pieces are compact and simple to place. The kit is also beginner friendly. The wiring is straightforward and the adhesive backing holds well inside printed enclosures. The lights stay cool during use, which makes them suitable for PLA and PETG projects without worrying about warping.
