98% of the videos I watched of ppl complaining abt this product were bc they weren’t using it correctly!! I honestly wish I could msg them & tell them that! First thing I saw, they were saying the cup wouldn’t stay in the base to blend. YOU HAVE TO TURN IT & LOCK IT INTO PLACE! There’s a pic of a lock & unlock on the bottom of the cup & u set it in on the unlock & turn it to lock. The 2nd one was saying the lid would just sit on top so liquid would leak out. No, the lid actually fits on very well, maybe a lil too well, & it’s hard to get on. U rly have to work at getting it on but once it’s on, it’s on, & it won’t leak! Then prob the most important one, YOU MUST ADD LIQUID TO BLEND IN THIS MACHINE!!! U can’t just add fruit or vegetables & expect it to blend without adding any liquid. That’s not how this one works. If that’s what ur looking for u need a veg chopper & not this. This is geared towards a smoothie maker! There is a minimum liquid marker at the bottom & u have to add at LEAST this amt of liquid to start with & ur prob going to need more! Also, blend in stages. Don’t cram the whole thing full to the top & again expect it to blend. Here I added almond milk, frozen bananas & blended it & then added the rest of my frozen fruit & MORE LIQUID, blended & ended up stirring some & added more liquid. U may have to stir it up a lil or if ur lid is on tight & correctly while it’s blending, u can tilt it to side to side, front to back, & get ur ingredients moved around. This is also made to pulse the products & run for short periods of time. One review said she ONLY ran hers for 10-15 min & didn’t know why it started smelling funny!! Umm hello! U can’t run this lil thing that long! It’s not made to go for 15min at a time. This is an amazing lil smoothie maker if u use it correctly. This is actually my 2nd one bc I lost my 1st one & had to repurchase another one. Again, don’t use it for anything ur not adding liquids to bc it won’t work. If ur just wanting something to chop fruit & vegetables then get one of those lil choppers for that. This won’t work. If ur looking for something to make smoothies, iced coffe, soups, or anything like that then I highly recommend this!!

I cannot say enough good things about my "personal blender" made by Hamilton Beach! I used to think I had to have a KitchenAid or other big blender to make smoothies. Not so! This blender was MADE for perfect smoothies. It's just the right size, no muss no fuss. Just stick your goodies in there, blend for a bit, then VOILA. You're ready to go. You don't even need to dirty a glass. Smoothies NEED TO BE EASY or let's face it, we're just not going to do it, are we? I mean, will you make a smoothie if you know you've got to pull out that big ol' blender from where you store it and put the thing together and then when it's done you've got to take it all apart and clean it then put the whole thing back up on it's shelf? NO, you won't! This blender solves all those problems because it's so small and there is nothing to take apart and nothing to re-assemble. Truly - making a smoothie and cleaning up after could NOT be easier than this. TIP: do as I say, not as I do: this will save you time: don't overfill the blender, instead, leave 1" at the top so it won't spill over. This way, you won't need to clean the bottom part of the blender (but if you - like me) overfill and need to clean it, just put a little mild detergent down in there, squoosh the soap around with a brush and rinse it. I have not yet had the blender fail from being exposed to water. This thing is just too good to be true. I've bought many to give away as presents. My first one was ordered in 2009. I used the heck out of it - by that I mean smoothies once or twice DAILY - then it gave up the ghost two years later. I tell you, I think I just wore that little engine out. But for $18.11 I ain't complainin' - in fact, I'd say that was a steal of a deal. I'm on my second one now, it's 2 years old and goin' strong. I've got one in reserve under the cupboard, just in case this one gives out. Not holding my breath. FAVORITE SMOOTHIES Mango Delight: Fill blender 1/2 full of crushed ice and water. Add 1/4C yogurt, 2T limeade and 1/2C fresh (or frozen) mango. Blend. Yee-friggin'-HA. Lulu's GREEN DRINK: Fill blender 1/2 full of crushed ice and water. Add 1C chopped fresh kale, 2T limeade and 1/2C pineapple. Blend. Oh, so good! Chocolate Banana: Fill blender 1/2 full of crushed ice and milk. Add 1/4 vanilla ice cream, 3T dark unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 frozen banana, sweetener to taste. YEAH BABY! Now that is what I'm talkin' about!!!

I've always liked this blender through its various iterations and have owned multiple units over the last 15+ years. It's just the right size for smoothies, easy to clean, and doesn't take up much space on the counter. It has enough power, but don't add too much ice or frozen fruit. I like that you don't have to remove the blade and mess with a gasket and flip it over like other types of small blenders. However because of the one piece design, they eventually develop a leak around the bottom but not for, in my experience, plenty of years of daily usage. So, for the price point, it's a great smoothie maker and affordable to replace. Usually, I'm ready for a clean one by then anyway ... I knocked this down a star because they changed the base. Before, the cord would wrap effortlessly around the bottom. Now you have to stuff it into a small hole and up into the base. Furthermore, the instructions don't explain that and it appears almost like you would wrap around the notch in the bottom but that's not the case. Will see if it gets easier to stuff the cord inside over time as it limbers up. Otherwise, sticking with an old favorite.

UPDATE - 10/26/22 Feel free to read the review below the lines if you'd like a review of how it functions, but this blender has since broken. I used it most days for smoothies, and today it simply doesn't switch on. Nothing. It has died. Really disappointed because it hasn't been long. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I got this blender to create daily smoothies from frozen fruits, yogurt, water, etc. I haven't used it for other purposes, so I can only speak to that experience. The good: Great Size Decently efficient for the size Convenience of lid Blends decently The bad: Larger frozen fruits can get stuck (strawberries) Lid doesn't "click" on - constantly in a state of worry Hard to clean the lid with all of its grooves Small motor "smell" This blender is an excellent size for a single-serving smoothie. It stores easily due to its size, but it's not an eyesore if you have to leave it on your counter, since it is rather petite. I would not try to get more than a single serving out of it! The blending itself is pretty efficient. I haven't encountered any big chunks of fruit that have been missed. It does take the blender a bit of time to work through the entire contents, so hold down the blend button until you see the little "tornado" starting to form at the top. Otherwise, you may be missing blending the top portion of your contents. Another warning is with larger fruits/ice, the blender could get stuck. The blades are so small that I don't really fault the blender, but it's a good heads up. A whole frozen strawberry isn't going to go down easily. I love the concept of the lid, but I think the execution could be better. Half the time, my smoothies are too thick to go out the top, so I just eat out of it with a spoon. When they're runny enough, the lid does well, BUT it does not click into place. It really "rests" on top more than anything, so I'm constantly holding it whenever my cup is upside down. I think for the most part it would stay in place, but I'm hesitant to take that risk. I wish it either twisted or clicked. It also has small cracks and crevices that are a PAIN to clean. The only other note I can think of is that the blender sometimes emits that hot "small motor" smell - kind of like the old hand mixers. I try to avoid it by pulsing instead of holding down the button, but I have to hold it down to get that final mix and it will occasionally let off that smell. Doesn't seem like anything is wrong with it, though, just working hard. Overall: For the price, this is a decent blender that functions as it should. I'd recommend it for at-home use, as the lid would make me nervous traveling. If the lid were to be updated, I would likely up the review to five stars.

Title: Good blender, but still waiting for customer service response I purchased this Hamilton Beach blender on Amazon and overall the blending function works well. However, after only two uses, the lid began to fit loosely and falls off very easily during operation, which raises safety concerns. I contacted Hamilton Beach customer service directly and provided all requested information, including: • Model number: 51101G • Series number: C0542FXW • Full name and shipping address Customer service initially responded and asked for these details, which I promptly provided. Unfortunately, after submitting the requested information, I have not received any further response regarding a replacement lid. I am not requesting a full replacement — only a properly fitting lid. I would appreciate it if the company could follow up and help resolve this issue. I hope this review helps bring attention to the matter, and I look forward to a response.

Exactly what I was hoping for! Perfect for a single serving, easy to clean and can’t beat the price. I have a ninja. It’s big, bulky, a pain to clean and the blade scares me. Too much for simple protein shake for 1 person.

I really like this hamilton beach single blender. Ive bought it before and lost the cup part somehow so needed another. Perfect size for a single petson or for when my grand want to nake smoothies. It blends ice and frozen fruit no problem

I had not instruction about 110v and I had plague into 220v UK voltage I was not able to used even one time! very sad Could you please make a note for the advice or better could you sell to Europe with 220 v please
