I ordered these for my dad who has thicker toenails, and this product addresses that problem effectively. I've used Kai knives before and am well aware of the extremely good quality engineering and reputation the name holds. I can easily rate this Japanese company a notch above most German companies in the same category. Luckily, I found these Kai clippers on Amazon when searching for toenail clippers, hoping for the best - and it was! CAUTION: As with most Kai products, be aware of the extremely sharp, high-quality steel used in these clippers. You can easily nip skin with these much more than with any normal clippers you've experienced, so be careful. Extremely well made product.

Nice looking, good and sharp, cuts more easily and with less effort than my old one. It's sturdy, and has a nice straight cutting edge, so no more ingrown toenails! The plastic outer case catches the cut nails which is handy, then you just shaked them out. The cutter itself is metal. Thank you, it's perfect!

Stupid design, bleeds 30% times, although sharpness is commendable but didn't find useful for foot nails.
