Dymoece recommends not letting the pad's braking material wear thinner than 0.9 mm, but it certainly doesn't hurt to replace them sooner than that. My personal rule is to not let the pads get any thinner than the thickness than a dime. You'll also know that they have worn much too thin once the pad spring starts making contact with the rotor. If that is happening you know that you should have replaced the brake pads awhile back! How to choose bicycle disc brake pads? In my opinion you should run metallic pads if: -You are heavy -You ride downhill -The conditions are wet, muddy, etc. and run resin pads or semi metallic pads if: -you are light -Conditions are dry -You like lots of initial grab -Your riding is less hard on brakes i.e. dirt jump/street, XC, etc. Although I have now recommended pads for you to use, you have to make your own choices on pads according to your riding, the above list should be considered to be a guideline, and not used as a strict rule.

Unsafe product
Unsafe product. Brake pad failed and separated during a ride. Almost crashed during my commute. Pic shows the piece that's missing the brake pad. Failed with less than 100miles.

Pad material too thick
Even after adjusting the pistons all the way back out with these new pads fitted it would not allow the disc to fit between them. I tried two different wheels, one with a Shimano rotor and the other with the stock Tektro rotor. I had to sand pad material down and after several passes the disc finally fit between them. I haven't taken a ride yet and based on the previous reviews they should bite and stop well.

Unsatisfactory, Low-Life
You get what you pay for. initially i was taken aback by how mediocre the stopping power was compared to the OEM tektro brakes, even after break-in. they seemed to stop with a harder initial bite that tapers off, unlike a gradual increase proportional to pressure on the brake lever. after the break in, i took them on the trail. after 2 hours of riding, the front pads are already worn too thin to be useable again. the rears glazed over as well, which i sanded down and fixed the issue. then they glazed again, even after breaking them in again. my old set of tektro pads with the same break in process did not feel nearly as unsatisfactory or squishy as these.

Look great! Arrived on time. FIT and WORK PERFECTLY!
UPDATED 06/01/2020 I finally installed one set of these brake pads on the front of my Sondors Step. They fit perfectly in the Tektro Aries calipers and work as good or better than the stock pads. They are very quiet. I would buy these again.ORIGINAL REVIEW: 5 Star rating until ......?I ordered these semi-metallic pads as SPARES for my Sondors ebike. They arrived on time and were well packaged. They look to be the correct pads, but until it's time to replace the brake pads on my ebike I won't know for sure. These brake pads appear to be well made and of high quality. Spring and cotter pin are included. I will update my review after I actually install them. I am trusting that the listing on Amazon had the correct information and that they will fit my Tektro M-300 brakes as listed.

Perfect fit and they stop
There is no dislike. I have a new fuel ex5 I couldn’t not make it skid the back tire or stop it from screaching. 15 min later fix with these brake pads and I broke them in and yes they stop the bike and can skid the back tire now if I have to . Perfect 5 star and unlike some of these reviewers the pads fit perfect !

brake pad review
a very good replacement pad set..quality & construction high quality. i would recommend checking the rotor condition if you had noise while braking, you may have to do a replacement also.. cleaning the surface area does not solve brake issues for a long term.

good value
I got these for my tektro aries mechanical brakes after the original pads got ruined. They fit perfectly, bedded in quickly and are at least if not more effective as the originals. And since I only needed the rear I have a back up set that also fits some of my other bikes.

didn’t really fit and too thick metal pads.
bought these for my TRP HY/RD. With installing new discs, these metal pads didn’t quite fit, even when i had the tool to extend my calipers. The surface area for the brake contact was also offset that it worn my inner disc and left an untouched outer lip on the disc. I bought another brand pads and those worked and fit better.
