Start Collecting! Beasts of Chaos PLASTIC BOX Warhammer Age of Sigmar AOS

The Start collecting boxes for Beasts of Chaos is easily one of the best. You get a battleline in bestigors, you get a wizard caster leader in the bray-shaman and then the final two kits are dual kits. The ungor spearmen are great battleline chaff. Or you can make them into a ungor raider skirmish unit with much needed range in this army. The Cygor is a fantastic anti-wizard unit. But it's only useful when fighting a force that uses magic! The Ghorgon is a much better center pierce unit. This box is a great foray into the army and you can easily reach a viable 1000pts army by buying 3 of these boxes. Release the fury of the children of Chaos! Fear the brayherd!

Age of Sigmar is known for overblown miniature designs. Beasts of Chaos makes for a nice alternative. The miniatures are in a heroic scale and the behemoths are amazing, but the rank and file are meant to be painted in earthy tones and are not completely over the top. These sprues are fantastic as usual, but quicker to assemble than many AoS puzzle pieces.

I used this to convert for Chaos Beastmen Cultists. Put a Daemon Prince head on the larger one. Very solid.

Newer to the Warhammer games, but I've always enjoyed the novels. Decided to pick this up, gotta say I'm pretty satisfied. Convinced my friend to pick up a start collecting pack as well. They're actually an affordable way into the series. Small scale for me... for now.

I was really happy with this purchase, it was the best price around and had super quick delivery.

What was fully present was great, but multiple items on the sprues were missing. As such some of the models I couldn't actually finish or make properly. The box had a puncture as well and was loose as if it had been opened. While a fair amount is usable. I'm not satisfied with the state of the product upon arrival.

The items inside were not broken. Otherwise, I would have returned it. There is no reason to send products out that have been so mishandled.

Like most Start Collecting boxes this is a good starting point for a Beasts of Chaos army. Although it has been since replaced with the Vanguard set it is more affordable and gives a solid core for your army. You get modelling options for an Ungor raiders unit or basic unit, a bray shaman, bestigors and the option to build either a Cygor or a Ghorgon.
