These swim briefs feel like true performance swimwear. The material feels smooth and durable, and the fit is supportive without feeling too tight or uncomfortable. I like that they stay in place well when moving around, which is important for lap swimming. The black color looks classic and clean, and it doesn’t look cheap or see-through. They dry pretty quickly and hold up well after rinsing. I also think the sizing feels accurate, which makes ordering easier. For the price, I think they’re worth it because Arena is a reliable brand and these feel like they’ll last through a lot of pool time.

High quality fabric. Good printing. These fit true to size.

I decided to grab the Escape brief in the Water Blue Multi design because I wanted to mix things up from the solid colors I usually wear. The print is definitely the highlight as the colors are vivid in person and look even better underwater without being overly busy or tacky. Beyond the aesthetics, the fabric feels incredibly durable. It has that tough, chlorine-resistant feel that suggests it is going to last through a lot of lap swimming seasons without stretching out or fading quickly. The fit is exactly what I look for in a training suit. It offers a compressive, athletic cut that reduces drag, but it doesn't feel restrictive or chafing. The front lining adds good modesty and the internal drawstring is sturdy enough to keep everything secure during flip turns and push-offs. If you are new to the brand, just keep in mind that these are cut specifically for performance so they run snug, but that is exactly how they are supposed to feel once you get in the pool.

I finally read the manual and got the right sizes this time. I got a 36 and 38 and they're pretty similar, but the 38 is slightly more accommodating. That being said, I did once accidentally get a 32 and it stretched to fit. I was worried about the green color, whether it would be "sick green" or "hot green" and it's hot green, IMHO. I think it looks better than the pictures. These aren't your ultra-skimpy speedos, but they're still revealing. This particular model of arena swim trunks has a liner in the entire inside, which is almost a shame because I like the feel of the fabric. That being said, it offers extra modesty for those who wear speedos and are modest, which is I think pretty much no one. You can see they look almost "big" but they aren't coming up to your belly-button or anything, they just cover all of the surface area.

These swim briefs hit all the marks I was hoping for. The fabric feels strong and smooth, and it holds its shape really well in the water. I like that they dry fast and don’t stretch out after a few laps—clearly built for people who spend a lot of time in the pool. Once you get the right size, the fit is secure and comfortable, with enough support to stay confident during turns and push-offs. The design looks sharp too, simple but athletic. Overall, a dependable pair of briefs that feel durable and perform exactly the way good training swimwear should. Five stars.
