I use these bottle caps to craft a forage tie for captive parrots and large other birds such as cockatoos and macaws. I drill a small hole in the center of each cap and string them on a 2 mm x 200 mm zip tie together with colorful beads. Two of the bottle caps have the concave side facing one another providing a space where a treat can be hidden. I no longer have to wait to accumulate enough clean bottle caps to make several toys - rather I just need to open the bag and get to work. The caps are well made and a good size for Amazon parrots and like hookbills. They're easy to mark the center (with a white pen) and easy to drill the hole for the zip tie. The caps are sufficiently light that 4 or 5 caps and a few medium sized beads can be strung on the zip tie and be sufficiently light for a large parrot, cockatoo and/or macaw to hold in one foot while they play with the toy with their beak and tongue. I put some shredded paper in the compartment holding the treat to mark the area holding the treat for the birds. I unreservedly recommend these bottle caps for crafters making bird toys and, possibly, other items too. They're reasonably priced, and good clean material for crafting. Although the color of toy parts is irrelevant to most hookbills, it would be nice if the package contained an assortment of caps colored other than black.

I made sure to check the measurements listed for these caps to my bottles before ordering. Unfortunately they aren't correct and don't fit. The quality seems decent but I haven't found any other bottles that they would work with.
