A super wee book and very thought provoking and inspirational. Only downside (and I guess I'm nitpicking " is the postage for such a wee lightweight book is on the dear side 😔

This small 64 page booklet (The Guardian angels our heavenly companions) is put out by Tan books and publishers, Inc. This is a Catholic religion booklet which is part of a large collection covering various religious topics of importance to those of the Catholic faith. This interesting and informative text focuses on the role of Guardian Angels in our lives. I have read numerous other books about angels in the past, but I still learned a lot about the nature and purpose of our Guardian Angels that I did not before reading this booklet. This text is organized into seven parts.Part one covers (Your best friend) Motives for confidence and gratitude, scriptural proofs, teaching of the fathers, marvelous goodness of the angels, special guardians and visible world governed by angels. Part two explains the services our Guardian Angels to for us such as protect us, defend us against demons, inspire holy thoughts, warn us of danger, and other helpful activities. The third part focuses on our duties toward our Guardian Angels. The fourth part is about the “bread of angels.” The fifth part deals with the Saints and their Guardian Angles. The sixth part explains visible Guardian Angles and the last part are devotions in honor of our Guardian Angles.Even though this book is written for those who are of the Catholic faith (I am not); nevertheless, a lot of the information can be helpful for anyone interested the essential role of Angels in our world and beyond.Rating: 4 Stars. A lovely little 'pocket' book to carry. There are some rules to follow, such as being modest around your Guardian Angel, that seem like common sense type of manners. However, for the first few days after reading this, I was embarassed to get into the shower without verbally asking my Guardian Angel to please leave the room! This is especially good for those of us who have forgotten any/and or all of what we were taught as small children AND to read with our own children while they are young or older. I think this would make a lovely gift for anyone. There is also an extensive listing in the back of the booklet for advanced reading. I would and will purchase more copies of this booklet.
