Panasonic DMW-SFU1GU Lumix GH4 V-Log Upgrade

The easiest way to install on your ghx camera, vlog is a pain to install, but that’s Panasonics issue, not the seller, arrived super quick and packaged well, well recommended as the price is better than at a photography shop.

Then buy this, just do it. And get a decent fast SD card, you will be amazed what a different V-LOG makes to your footage.

Fairly easy to upgrade. Works with Mac.

The V-Log upgrade arrived in a small cardboard box containing the activation code and instructions on how to use it. The whole process is cumbersome and requires you to save the camera serial number to the memory card and upload it to a web page. Then you type in the activation code and download a file that you store on the memory card. Finally you insert the memory card into the camera and activate the V-Log profile from the menu. This worked, but the process far too complicated for something a simple as this. The activation web page looked like it was designed 20 years ago and offered very little help when rejecting the activation code that was typed in EXACTLY as written on the card. It finally worked when I left out the dashes and just typed the numbers.

Upgrade is working nicely, too soon to say how pleased I am with the results. One thing to note is that the activation process is terrible. Despite being told to enter the code exactly as it is on the card you need to enter it without dashes or it gets rejected with a useless error.

Añade VLOG al vídeo, una mejora indispensable si quieres calidad. Fácil de instalar pero no tan fácil de usar, tienes que acostumbrarte a trabajar con el histograma sin llegar a los bordes.

Avendo una GH5 avevo bisogno del log che non è integrato nella macchina prima versione e devo dire che ero preoccupato e non sapevo se fosse un qualcosa di ancora compatibile del 2022 questo prodotto invece facilissimo ci si collega al sito si inserisce il codice senza i trattini si scarica si spenge poi la macchina dopo avergli messo dentro la scheda e ti ritrovi il vlog semplice come bere un bicchier d’acqua

je viens enfin de recevoir ce précieux code VLOG pour mon gh5, je pourrai désormais filmer avec des luts. Dommage que le prix reste si élevé pour quelque chose qui est déja installé sur le GH6 ... mais bon ... le GH5 reste ultra performant et si vous êtes pro, il vous faut filmer en vlog PS : Attention, il ne faudra pas prendre en compte les tirets entre les chiffres lorsque vous recopierez ce code

Habs zwar lange rausgezögert, dann aber nach fast 2 Jahren Nutzung der GH5 den Schritt an das VLOG-L Bildprofil gewagt (zuvor immer in Cinelike-D oder V gefilmt). Ja, der extra Dynamikumfang, wenn richtig belichtet wird, ist schon ganz nett, aber definitiv nix für den 4k60p 8-bit internen Codec, da greif ich dann doch lieber zum Cinelike Profil. Filmt man allerdings nur in 4k30p 10-bit oder mit einem externen Recorder der auch 60p in 10-bit schafft kann ich das LOG Profil nur empfehlen, vor allem, da sich sogar intern in der Kamera LUTS nutzen lassen, um einem das korrekte Belichten zu erleichtern. Ein guter Tipp am Rande ist hier die GH-Alex LUT von Emotivecolor.
