The EBL Rechargeable AA NiMH batteries are quality batteries that really deliver in my testing. They seem to be as good or better than some other brands that I have used. Over the past weeks, I have used them in toys, MP3 player, cameras, and even an electric shaver. They do last and last. These hi-capacity NiMH batteries are rated at 2800 mAH and they really do seem to last longer in my devices by approximately 20 to 30% longer. Note that the EBL batteries are a teeny bit wider in diameter than regular AA alkaline batteries and so may be a tight fit in some situations. The batteries do come pre-charged (about 80%) and needed just an hour or so in the charger to top them off. I liked that they have a very slow discharge rate which mean that I can keep them in devices that I use infrequently. I also liked that the batteries come in these nice battery holders so I don't have loose batteries rolling around in my drawer. The EBL charger is great in that it can just plug directly into an AC outlet and is rated for both 110-115v and 220-240v, and so will work overseas. The charger charges at a 500 mA rate and can take 7+ hours to fully charge a depleted set of batteries. I do like it that the charger can also accommodate AAA and 9v rechargeable batteries. The only con is that the charger has to charge the batteries in pairs (no single battery charging). Overall, I do recommend this EBL Rechargeable Batteries and Charger set. The batteries are great and long lasting. The included charger makes it convenient to keep these batteries charged. These slow discharge batteries means that I can have a set of charged batteries on hand and not have to worry about them being discharged in storage.

So far working really well they don't last as long as just regular batteries but they're lasting well enough that it's worth it

Fast, portable charger is a big win. EBL is the only rechargeable battery we use in our house. They have never let us down and this set of 8 is no exception. They come with their own cases which holds 4 batteries each, making it easy to take with you if you travel or just to store neatly in a drawer. The charger will charge 4 batteries at a time. The plug fold in on itself when not in use, which again is an advantage for travel and packing. If you have kids or grandkids with toys they bring over which use the AA batteries, having a fresh set of batteries could save the afternoon. One of our Leap Frog toys gets used a lot on the road along with visits to grandma so having those batteries in hand is worth their weight in gold. The packaging states that they are pre-charged, but I would still charge them before use. It took us about 2 hours to fully charge the batteries that arrived. In a remote, they'll last months if not the better part of a year. We currently have a set that has surpassed one year in the remote for the TV. Sizing is same as non-rechargeable batteries so they are just as easy to put in and out of battery compartments. Tight fit. No wiggle room and packs a punch. EBL has always been a reliable alternative to the non-rechargeable batteries we've purchased over the years. In fact, I'm comfortable saying that most everything in our house today that requires batteries are the EBL batteries. . . AA, AAA, 9Volt, C and D. We have them in everything from label makers, remotes, toys, flashlights and smoke alarms. Excellent value for the money, especially when you consider how many uses you get out of them compared to purchasing non-rechargeable batteries. The technology continues to improve and so does the reliability and longevity. EBL for the win.

These will save you SOOOO much money in the long run ! I have so many battery operated lights in my house , my husband was sick of me spending so much $$ to keep them on so he told me about these . At first I thought they were too expensive but they will save you sooo much money in the long run ! I used to order 100 packs of double A and triple A . Instead now I just bought about 20 of these rechargeable ones and its seriously a life saver. No longer spending a ton of money to keep on all my battery operated tea lights and fake candles haha

It has already paid for itself by saving me multiple trips to the store for disposables. This set includes a battery charger and eight AA batteries. The batteries themselves have a capacity of 2800mAh. These are low self-discharge batteries which means that they can be kept in storage for several years while losing minimal capacity during that time. EBL rates these as retaining 80% charge after 3 years in storage. I like to use rechargeable batteries almost everywhere, but in devices that use very little power where the batteries should last a really long time such as in a remote control, the rechargeable batteries never lasted long for me. Literally after a few weeks I would have to recharge the batteries. After switching to low self-discharge batteries such as these EBL batteries, I no longer have that problem. Turning our attention to the charger, we have a charger that can charge a maximum of 4 batteries at a time. Note that unlike some chargers, each bay is not completely independent. Batteries need to be charged in pairs. So, either 2 or 4 batteries can be charged at a time, and this charger can accommodate either AA or AAA batteries. While this kit does not include 9V rechargeable batteries, the charger is capable of charging either one or two 9V batteries at a time. The charger is very basic and has no indication of the charge status other than two LEDs (one for each pair of two batteries). The LED will be green when the batteries are fully charged and red during charging. If all you need is basic charging capabilities, this charger will work just fine for you. My conclusion is that this is a very good combo of batteries and charger for basic needs. The good thing is that if your needs ever change, you can keep the same batteries and just upgrade the charger although you may find that this charger works perfectly well for you.
