Electric Scooter Review: Valuable - This combination lock strikes the perfect balance between security, convenience, and portability, making it an essential accessory for anyone who values protecting their valuable outdoor gear and transportation equipment! Review: Good Bike Lock, though Default Code was Wrong! - I'm an avid bike rider, and love coming across some good bike merch/accessories! When I'm not attaching them to my bike, I've also found they're fun to use for hobby Escape Room designs. I'm an overall fan of this one! *Good Quality: This is a well-designed bike lock. It is long enough to allow you to secure your bike to a versatile range of stationary things (e.g., trees, fences, bike racks, etc.) *Easy to Attach to Bike: The lock also comes with a clamp to help you attack it to the metal shaft on your bike. That's handy, as you don't need to buy an extra bike pouch or carry it in a backpack! *One Problem--Code on Instructions Was Wrong! This lock came dangerously close to getting 0 Stars, though, because I had a hard time opening it and thought it was broken! The instructions said the default code was "00000", but only after fiddling with it for a while did I realize that "90000" got it open. The instructions need some review!

The "Value King" of Bike Security: Keyless, Easy, and Wallet-Friendly.
** The Summary ** This 5-Digit Resettable Bike Cable Lock does exactly what it needs to do: it provides a solid, keyless deterrent for your gear without costing more than the bike itself. It’s the perfect balance of convenience and "no-brainer" pricing. ** The Deep Dive ** Keys are just one more thing to lose, so I’m a huge fan of this 5-digit mechanical setup. Setting and changing the combination was incredibly easy and straightforward, no tools or confusing manuals required. It feels high-quality for the price, and the 1.2-meter cable is the "sweet spot" length for wrapping around racks or fence posts without a struggle. At just 350g, it’s a total lightweight. You can toss it in a backpack or wrap it around your seat post and completely forget it’s there until you need it. The PVC coating is a nice touch, too, since it keeps the steel cable from chewing up your bike's paint job. Originally, I was a bit worried about how the internal components would handle long-term exposure to the rain. But honestly? At this price point, that's a fair trade-off. Even if it gets a bit "crunchy" after a few years in the elements, it’s so affordable that replacing it is a non-issue. For a daily commuter or someone needing a quick-stop lock, this is a home run. **The Highs & Lows** * The Highs: Incredible value for a 5-digit security system. Brain-dead simple to reset your personalized code. PVC-coated steel protects your bike from scratches. * The Lows: Might not be the best "forever" lock for 24/7 outdoor storage in rainy climates, but for the price, who’s complaining? ** The Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** It’s a functional, easy-to-use, and highly portable lock that offers massive peace of mind for a tiny investment.

Perfect for kids bike
My son put this on his bike. Uses it every day. Easy to use, relatively light weight. Doesn’t affect his biking skills. The little mount piece didn’t fit the frame tube we were going to mount it on, but not a big deal, he just wraps it around the handlebars. He loves it. Very hearty and secure, Easy to change the combo too. All good things

Simple and Reliable Bike Lock
I purchased this cable lock to secure my bike when running errands and leaving it outside for short periods. After using it several times, it has performed reliably and generally met my expectations. It combines a flexible steel cable with a resettable 5-digit combination, making it a practical option for anyone looking for a dependable bike lock at this price point. Pros • 5-digit combination – The resettable code allows me to set my own combination and avoid carrying keys. • Flexible cable design – The cable is long enough to wrap around a bike frame and rack without much hassle. • PVC coated steel cable – The coating helps protect the bike frame from scratches while adding durability. • Lightweight construction – It’s easy to carry in a backpack or wrap around the bike when riding. • Multi-purpose use – Works not only for bikes but also for scooters, outdoor gear, or securing items together. Cons • Not meant for high-security situations – Like most cable locks, it’s better suited for quick stops rather than long-term locking in high-risk areas. • Cable thickness is moderate – Strong enough for casual use but not as heavy-duty as thicker locks. Features and Performance In regular use, this lock performs as intended. The combination mechanism turns smoothly and setting a personal code was straightforward. The cable feels flexible yet sturdy, which makes locking a bike to a rack quick and convenient. The PVC coating helps prevent scratches, and the lock has been easy to carry and use during everyday trips.

Pretty good lock for $8.
This bike cable lock is pretty decent. First off, the plastic smell coming off this thing is atrocious! It was so strong, I put it out in my garage to air out, and my garage ended up reeking of it. I'm usually not sensitive to smells, either. Other than that, it's pretty good. The metal looks to be die-cast metal, which won't hold up to a hammer. But, as long as you don't look like the easiest target for theft, you should be fine. I got this to make tools in my truckbed harder to steal, but the two ends of of the cable are too large to fit through the truckbed tie-down loop. But, I do have other uses of it, so that's okay. The 5 digit code might be a little harder to guess over 4 digit codes, but inconvenient if you prefer to use dates for your code. The code is easy to reset if you know the original. You simply twist a ring when unlocked, set the new code, then twist the ring again. So that's pretty easy. The cable itself should be pretty secure. Currently listed at $8, I do think this is a great value, though. You just don't want to be the "low hanging fruit" out there, because there's really nothing that can stop criminals since the invention of cordless grinders and cutoff tools. But it'll definitely slow down most thefts.

Good bike lock for the price. Don't compare it to high priced heavy duty bike locks though
This combination cable bike lock does the job at a very affordable price. For $8, it's going to be hard to beat if you need a simple bike lock. The cable is braided steel with a PVC over layer which is nice to ensure that it doesn't scratch up your bike. The combination lock itself is a hard plastic casing with metal key. Overall, the materials make it seem like this lock will be durable enough. It has 5 digits which is going to be more secure than a 4 digit combination lock. To set the combination is easy to do by following the instructions and turning a knob. The instructions seem to be translated from Chinese to English, but they are clear enough. It's nice to be able to easily change the combination without needing a key or other part that would be easy to lose. Security wise, this bike lock will do the job. It shouldn't be compared to heavier duty and more expensive locks. The idea with this lock is that it acts as a deterrent from simple theft than if no lock were used at all. The length of cable is just fine. It can fit around a pole and through the bike with ease. It's also nice that it has a separate clamp that can be attached to the bike frame or handlebar so you can carry the cable lock easily while riding the bike. It may not be useful for everyone, but it's a nice touch for someone that is riding the bike and not carrying around a bag to store the lock in. Overall, I would recommend this bike lock for a very simple and cheap way to secure a bike.
