When it's spitting after you release the trigger. You'd ideally want to repack before this happens.

Listing is for 288488, picture shows 218143. description states for "silver plus and flex plus guns". which actual item is it?

For the Graco Contractor and FTX series new and old style guns (not contractor 2)

Will this work on a Contractor 288420 spraygun ?

My model number is 826085. However I have the Grayco manual and it does include your model number, 288420.. so yes, this needle assembly should work… You just take that pin out through the middle of the gun, right above the trigger. Then will unscrew the head assembly and the diffuser.. The whole thing pulls out. Then, slide the new one in, making sure it lines up with the hole… There is a video on YouTube that shows you how, only takes about five minutes.. I changed mine out and now it’s working perfect!
