Used for kitchen install. Worked great.
Bought tool with tripod for kitchen install. This saved me a ton of rework as I thought I had found the low spot in my floor. Light is bright enough and the self leveling feature is great. Kitchen turned out to be within 1/16” level across at base cabinets which was needed for countertop install.

The Most Handy Tool!
I don’t write reviews often. In fact, only if the product goes above and beyond my expectations. This unit, in my opinion, is worth its weight in gold. I rave about it all the time and tell people that it’s the best thing since sliced bread. To be fair, this is the only laser level I have ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. Also, I am sure the units that are 5x+ the cost of this thing do outperform it in some aspects. But this thing meets every one of my needs. It looks like the cost of it is almost double what I paid for it at the end of 2019, so other people must be feeling the same way (driving up demand). In conclusion, if you will be hanging any more than one picture, buy this thing. I have a tripod I use with it and the setup is perfect. For reference, this picture depicts the line with the unit about 20ft. away in broad daylight.

Solid unit for the price!
First and foremost, I believe this is the best bang for your buck for a solid unit. Granted, I don't have a lot of experience but have fiddled with 200 dollar units from Bosch and Dewalt. As some other reviews have mentioned, it's major flaw is that the level has to be pretty much at the height you want your line as it doesn't have much room for error/self leveling. The controls may require a little getting used to - they are somewhat complicated such as getting the unit to turn off... The range capability listed is questionable - at least not in a well lit area. Overall, great unit if you can get is under 50 bucks and tackling a small job for any DIYer. Also comes with a neat zipper carrying case for storage.

This Thing is a Trip
Trippy. I haven't used it much, and it certainly seems to work better, in my very limited experience, when hung from a clamp as opposed to being used with a tripod. However my work space was messy, I did little if any preparation and hardly even cleared out a clear spot of ground for the tripod when using this level for the first time, so my opinion is really not that valuable in this regard. It does work, and when it does it seems to work quite well. Verified line with another level and they both agree, so unless both devices are off in the exact same way and in the exact same amount, there is a good chance that this thing shoots a level line. The line is bright and visible, but if you a working in a closet, don't expect the laser beam to go around corners. However, this thing does span corners and recesses quite sufficiently, just not through a shadow. Was really nice to be able to draw one continuous level line over 8' long

Good for small interior jobs but wouldn't buy it again
Did fine in a kitchen but the beam nearly disappeared in a larger room on the side walls. Battery life has been satisfactory. Other annoyance is the lock button. It just turns off and is confusing as to what the purpose is. It locks the beam and then no longer reads level if moved. Clamp is ok but dropped off clamped 2x4 on numerous occasions. Summary, it gets the job done, inexpensive but not well thought out. 4 stars based on the price but 3 stars based on competitive products available

Solid, simple and fairly accurate
So the cons: It’s a single slide switch that both locks the pendulum and turns power off. I’d have preferred one for pendulum lock, and a separate for power options. Pros: it’s not absolutely perfect accuracy, but darn close. +|- 1:16” over 30’ I’d guess. Simple operation Robust feeling Nice pouch Good holding bracket (though we mostly use tripods for our lasers). Bright enough for any indoor and occasion (with some need to squint) outdoor use. Highly recommend.
