These are exactly what they say they are. I like the pointy ends for going through grommets and have an idea to use tennis balls to put on the ends for pushing the middle of the tarp out without poking a hole on it.

Used this for a traditional Boy Scout dining fly. Helped keep the group dry during a wet camping trip. Held over wind, rain, multiple nights, and drips over the guide wires. I did use my own rope. Used the full 8’ length in the middle and kept one section collapsed for the ends.They do fill with water, so I drilled a small hole in the rubber feet and that seemed to provide sufficient drainage.

If they get rain on them, they will instantly fill up with water.I can’t seem to figure out how to get the water to Drain out.Now they drip water all in my vehicle when I take them down and put them up!I’m certain in the long run this will deteriorate the insides.They must be defective!

Poles look great, extend easily, lock in place easily, and feel strong and sturdy.Very happy with these poles so far!A fairly minor point I took away 1 star:The drawstring won't close the top of the bag more than halfway shut.It seems to have been SEWN TO the bag in a couple places when theysewed the sleeve for the drawstring. Since it can't pull tight between thosesewn spots, the opening on top remains big enough that poles could slide out.BUT I can live with that. Not worth the hassle of doing a full return for that,especially when I have no idea if the next bag will work any better.
