I tested 20 engine magnetic oil drain plugs and this is by far the strongest beating out the most expensive magnetic oil drain plugs, Votex and GoldPlug by far. It was not even close. This blue Titanium Alloy Engine Oil Drain Plug was the only Neodymium Magnet engine oil drain plug out of 20 I tested to hold a 1/2 inch torque wrench with two crescent wrenches taped to it. See photo. Also, to the one star reviewer about the Neodymium Magnet exploding. It is impossible for them to explode unless there was a severe impact so he most likely dropped it on a hard surface or his garage floor 🤦. And, to the other one star review about stripping his thread which was user error for over torqueing. If you use a torque wrench with the correct torque you will not strip threads. I swear people lack moral character to quickly blame the product instead of taking responsibility. I also do not care if it is aluminum and not titanium. I care about the strength of the Neodymium Magnetic strength which this is superior than any I tested. So, don't drop any Neodymium Magnetic engine Oil Drain Plug because it could explode and for God sake use a torque wrench 🤦. I use a torque wrench for everything including my engine oil plugs. In conclusion, please, have moral character when posting any review on Amazon.

I purchased this for the oil pan of my 2016 Ford Fusion. Though the bolt size is a 14mm compared to the OEM 15mm, the threading is a perfect match and the magnet is a welcome upgrade over the OEM.
