Pair of JJ ECC83s/12AX7 Preamp Vacuum Tube Review: Slovak Republic (Tubes) Rule - Imho, the best economy tube in both my orange micro terror and a vox tonelab pedal. Last up to a year or so with touring use. Due to the low price I can swap them out way more frequently than that. In my set up: tone ranges from ultra clean to warm to mega crunchy. Basically these tubes can model whatever you'd like. For the first six months or so they can compete with ANY other 12ax7. And best of all. SUPER NOT RUSSIAN OR CHINESE! Slovak Republic, you rule. For those of you that don't know: Tubes (on an industrial scale) come from three places: China, Russia and Slovak Republic. Thank you JJ tubes for freewill! I believe that music is about the greater expression of the human soul and the connections brought about by with and through it. Given this philosophy, I rejoice in the choice to purchase the heart of my musical tone generation machines from a BEAUTIFUL free state that absolutely rules in terms of robotics, industry AND income EQUALITY... (It is a castles and mountains and lakes and the cutest cities. Straight out of a fantasy novel. Ancient, modern and natural. Well done Slovak Republic! Love it!) WHUUUUUUUT?!?!?!?!? Review: Great replacement tubes - I recently bought a used tube amp and then discovered it had a high frequency noise and popping that was happening for about the first 7 minutes after turning it on. So I got these JJ replacement tubes, replaced all of the old made in China tubes, and the warmup noise went completely away. The box says the JJ tubes are made in Slovak Republic. Another good thing is TubeDepot was fast in shipping them out. The estimated delivery time was Oct 2-8, but I received them on Oct 1st.

Great replacement tubes
I recently bought a used tube amp and then discovered it had a high frequency noise and popping that was happening for about the first 7 minutes after turning it on. Terrific combination of sound and price.
JJ Electric has always been my 'go to' solution for affordable but good sounding tubes. You can get better by spending more, but these are so well made and musical that you may never want to do that. Of course, they can also serve well as backups. Always include this brand when looking for tubes!

Good reviews on jnj tubes.
Before I opened up the amp was reading reviews on different tube characteristics. JnJ was what I chose. That's what was in amp already and im pleased with my amps sound. Direct replacement for Ampeg. Received quick packaged responsibility.. Would buy again.

Great buy for new tubes
Use in radio equipment and tubes may or may not be used in audio section. Works in all areas

JJ's Are Solid
You can't go wrong with JJ tubes! I got these for a EVH Iconic combo that had mismatched tubes in it. The result was a tinny horrible sound. Replacing all the pre amp and power amp tubes with JJ's brought all the tone back!
