Using this as a gas tank level sensor in my new lawn mower. Have it set up to come on when the tank is low enough for a full gas can fill. Easy to choose the output mode and adjust sensitivity. Applied with double stick tape. Only issue was the small ga wire difficult to connect. It came with a female 4 post connector for PC board but it needs a mate and pigtail. Ended up cutting the connector off and using the small wire ga car stereo two piece screw together connectors for the splicing. So far so good. Pretty difficult working environment as far as heat and vibration.

Worked perfectly out of the box. I tried several different containers and with the POT was able to adjust so it would have the correct detection. Very happy.

I have tried a number of different types of sensors to use in a water pump controller. This was the last one and still working without failure for a long time now.

I bought these as part of an aquarium top off system I was building. They work, but the main issue with them is they aren't very precise. By that precise here I mean that it's very difficult to judge what level of water they're going to register on vs off, despite fiddling with the adjustment screw. First off I popped the back cover off to get at the adjustment screws. Next I attached it to the tank with some double sided tape. Next I adjusted the screw until the light went off, then turned it slightly back to get the light back on. I'd expect at this point to change the water level higher or lower to cause the light to turn off and on. However, even after a lot of tuning and trying the sensor at different angles, it never consistently will turn off at the same water height. What these seem designed for is uses where you are ok with a large range of where it measures or doesn't. For instance, if you're ok with it registering water (on) somewhere between 1/3rd and all the way to the top of the sensor, and then registering none (off) when there's somewhere between 1/2 to 0. For a use like that it'll be fine. If however you want to tune it to have it trigger at minor rises/falls in the water, you probably should look elsewhere. This just won't be precise enough for that.

Easy to install and to adjust. Presently running.

Required sensitivity adjustment to sense water in my plastic water tank. Adjustment is not described in product information sheet. Tested with 9 and 12 volts. Simply connected an LED with built-in limiting resistor as an indicator light. So far so good. Previously rated a 1 because I did not know that sensitivity could be adjusted.
