This is a great set of magnetic sticks and steel balls. There are enough parts in the set to make some interesting and large assemblies. The magnets are strong enough to hold a large assembly together and the balls are the right size to hold six sticks in a plane, which allows a full variety of shapes.

I bought these as a gift for my son's 5th birthday. He does play with them, just not as much as I had hoped. In fact, at first, my husband played with these more than my son. They are small pieces and I had also gotten him a set of large magnetic pieces so he gravitated to the larger ones at first. As time has gone by though, I've seen him play with this set a little more. As far as the integrity of the magnetics, they do well. Not a bad purchase at all, just lots of pieces to keep up with, or trip over......better too many than not enough though.

Fun toy for a couple of young boys. My 4 and 6 year olds love playing with these, and it's a much better diversion than watching TV. If you have small children you should definitely buy magnetic building blocks.

I purchased this for my class, and while the kids absolutely loved it, the storage solution presented with the product (Gray pull string bag) was not large enough to easily fit the product back in. It would not be an issue with storage if the items were not themselves incredibly magnetic and constantly catching on one another while trying to place them in. So a larger back that you could just drop the items in rather than perfectly slot them would be ideal. That is the only critique I really have of the product, everything else is top notch and premium. Will purchase again.

So I decided to get this instead of buying a typical toy for my nephew, 6 years old. I wanted something that would also stimulate the mind as well as be fun. This works great for helping children to develop spatial understanding and object permanence. This also encourages creativity and is fun to play with. One thing I would warn about: Be careful not to allow very young children to play with this. The pieces could be swallowed and be harmful. Also I would simply advice supervising the child while they play with this toy. Excellent otherwise!
