Fantastic item! Works just great!

Heavy. Interior solid cast aluminum thick metal lid. Simple controls. Fast heating. I bought mostly for melting left over jewelers wax to re-use, and a bit of dapping. Money saving device, and will save cash by reusing clean wax.

Bought this to melt my wax for lapidary wax- dob sticks- works wonderfully, and way faster than other methods in my opinion!

It's great to use for waxing. I'm a prosthodontist and when waxing anything whether it's dentures or teeth, having already melted wax makes things so much faster. I recommend this for anyone in dentistry who does any type of waxing. I use the largest left well for baseplate wax, top right for sticky wax, and lower right for teeth wax.

Really awesome for using dop wax! I waste a lot less now as well.

It heats up fast and melts dop wax. But, the whole box gets very hot even the heat dial. First use and the "Teflon" coating came off the bowl surface as i stirred my wax with a soft wooden tool, now my wax is full of metallic stuff. I'm giving them another chance, it's easy enough to do an exchange with Amazon, so I'm hoping this is just a defect. We'll see.Edit: I got the replacement, and after melting wax and being hot for 10 minutes or so the nostick coating comes right off the surface with a wood dowel, again. I wanted to save a few bucks with this as a lapidary tool, but it's probably not worth it.
