excellent quality
I really love this paper, it is more of a plastic feeling so I prefer to use ballpoint pens with it. My specific favorits on this paper are the Dr. Grip COG and the Uni-Jetstream. I cant reccomend this enough, it gives a great amount of friction for precise writing.

Smooth and Enjoyable
Buy this notebook! It's smooth and so pleasant to work with. The pages can be fickle to tear and there is some smearing if you touch it soon after writing. But I would buy this again and again, if only for the smoothness of the writing!

Fantastic New Favorite!
The covers and binding spirals are extremely sturdy but the spiral is so tight that the paper cannot fully rotate around it. The paper is fantastic and feels like nothing else. It is perfectly heavy and durable and yet incredibly smooth. The sheets are slightly larger than a standard notebook, the lines are college ruled, and there are very convenient blank slants to record the date on the top right corner. Every writing utensil looks better on the stone paper and there is almost no bleed through (even with Sharpies). Gel ink looks especially vivid on them. I personally love Pilot G-2 10 Bold. My only complaint is that the stone paper is not as absorbent so ink takes a longer time to dry so without patience or care one will be left with an illegible ugly smeared mess. You can always use a battery-powered fan or even a small hair dryer if you are especially impatient, lol. If you take care though, nothing creates better looking notebook writing or art. Last but not least, the paper is perforated very finely so it is removed easily and without any tearing. I absolutely love stone notebooks but these are my favorite so far for the date and the perfect perforation. Once you master not smearing your ink, this will become your favorite specialty paper. I think it's worth the price but I'm a paper, marker, and pen snob, lol, so...

Pen-friendly
This book is terrific... ... when you use a pen, marker, crayon, craypas, and paint. BUT, pencils - this booklet isn't compatible with. Neither mechanical or wood pencils. It snags like you're writing on your skin. Horrible. Pens, yes - pencils, no. I prominently use pencils so I was going to return it. My child uses pens and she loved it. So I canceled the return and we kept it. We both agree that the paper feels silky smooth.

Beautiful but not fully functional
LOVELY look and feel. Very smooth writing experience on the stone paper. However - the wire binding is too small and tight and the pages are difficult to turn and often tear. I also assumed I could fold the cover back, but as the front and back cover are all one piece that is not an option. So overall, looks and feels lovely and is a very convenient size, but is frustrating enough to open and turn pages that I won’t buy again.

Super Heavy Duty
These are HEAVY and feel so QUALITY. But I will say that you need to do some research on what pens work properly with stone paper. It just doesn't hold certain inks well and they'll stay wet for hours or even days - just to rub off at any time. Good paper though.

The absolute best notebook for meeting notes
I discovered these notebooks by chance several years ago. I was out of town attending a professional conference and needed something to take notes on - so I popped into a convenience store to buy something. I chose this one and spent the rest of the conference relishing how smooth and wonderful the paper feels and how my pen ran over it. It turned a mundane task into something special. And the paper is water resistant (and coffee resistant). I've been using them exclusively ever since. I like taking notes on paper (rather than typing), I feel it keeps me engaged with both the meeting and with ideas that arise. This exact brand and size of notebook has moved from chain to chain apparently in an exclusive deal. The original convenience store chain doesn't offer them anymore; several years ago they shifted to a big box store and then in the early 2020s to another big box chain. Now Amazon may be the only place I can get them? Highly recommend. They come in a larger size but I like this size - it crams into backpacks and purses and coat pockets.

Love the Feel and Texture
I noticed there are quite a lot of reviews that are just plain negative. Some two about how their cheap pen worked well, but their expensive pens did not, or their mechanical pencils ripped the pages. Get over it man. We are in way too precarious of a position to complain our pens designed for tree pulp paper do not work on stone paper, well guess what, the pens are not made for stone paper, so of course they do not work the same. And maybe use a wider lead on the stone paper to prevent tearing or not write as hard. Whoever came up with this idea did something very innovative. To utilize rocks for paper, the fricken ingenuity that went into that is amazing, if only more people had the same sustainable, circular, mindset regarding product development, we as a collective society would be in a much better position. The human imagination is only bound by our own lack of creativity, those who complain are part of the problem, not the solution. We need more innovative ideas, not more whining that did not fix anything!
