PediFix Visco-Gel Corn Protectors Small (Fits Most) 2 Each

Too small for my toes but Wife uses them and swears by them also one of our cats loves them and has been known to climb up and get one off the shelf to play with at which time he chews and slobbers over it then even eats most of it. Now I wouldn't reccomend it as cat food / toys but it does work well for the job it was intended for as a soft comfortable way to protect hammer toes or toes with tender spots such as corns. Down side is the price for two and if the cat gets one of those, oh well you see what I mean.

This is a nice product but for the same price l bought a whole bag of these that will last a ling time. Shame on this company for selling at this price.

I was hoping that these Visco Gel corn protectors in size small would stay on my baby toe better than the ones sold locally at the drug store (which come in one size only). However, I couldn't get these "small" protectors to stay on for even 30 minutes. I suspect that they are designed for corns on the tops of toes since the gel pad is quite large - and it is uncomfortable between the toes. I guess I will have to switch back to the drugstore brand. I also find that the gel pad has a nasty habit of picking up sock fuzz which turns the gel black with time (which the washing does not remove). These stretchy gel-lined sleeves are the right idea - the drugstore brand has gel around the entire interior surface, and the gel does seem to be protecting my corn and softening it. If only I could get the tube to stay on my toe so I wouldn't have to keep taking my shoes and socks off to slide it back on. Maybe there's a way to hold them on with something else?

I have a Pedifix product given to me in the office by a podiatrist and can't find it anywhere to purchase. When I saw these Visco Gel Corn protectors, I expected them to be made just like the Pedifix Large Toe Tubes that the podiatrist recommends which are a great product. The toe tubes are longer and can be cut in sections to fit any length you need. They come in regular (which is actually extremely narrow and would only work on my smallest toes) and large (one inch or more in width). The Visco Gel which provides the cushioning effect between toes and shoes covers the entire inside of the tube so it works no matter how you wear it. In contrast, the Pedifix Visco Gel Corn protectors are wide enough but too short in length to cover most of the toe. In addition, there is only a small coating of visco gel and it's located only on one side of the product so if it's not positioned just so, it moves around and doesn't cushion. Amazon, you are a great source of health related products. I am still holding out hope that you will offer the Pedifix Large (has to be Large, not regular) Toe tubes, which have more gel and can be cut to any length.

This item is very comfortable.

I use this to cover a hammer toe on the toe by the big toe. It is a little big and I think a medium would work better. But the small amount of gel on just one part of the cover (as opposed to some that are gel all the way around) works well because it covers the sore part but doesn't add much bulk to the rest of the cover.

I got the small size. These are great for protecting a corn on the inside of a small toe from being pushed against the neighboring toe, which can be painful. Most of these that I've found have gel all around the inside, making it too lumpy and obvious. These have the gel on the one side, so you can turn them to put the gel againt the corn and leave the cloth side against the rest of the toe. That also make these much less obvious when wearing shoes that reveal one's toes. With sandals, I don't use them at all as there is no crowding of the toes. But when wearing closed shoes, these are terrific.

You get two small corn protectors. (The picture could be a bit misleading since they show 3 - but the product description does say there are only 2 per package.). These are very small and not very long. They fit my short, smaller toes ok, but they would never fit my husband's longer toes. As shown in the picture (the piece to the left) there is a small patch of gel attached to only one side. The problem with this is two-fold:1) you do not get protection around the entire toe;2) because the side without the gel has nothing to support it, it tends to roll down into a tight band, much like a thick rubber band. This causes some pain where none existed so I generally have to stop walking and find a bench to rotate the protector.My other objection is these only last a for a few uses. After shipping they ran $7+ which is way too expensive for such a disposable item - one that really doesn't work all that great either.
