Well researched!
We’re planning to travel when our newborn is six months. I’ve read several books on the subject of traveling with baby but this is by far the best book. Other books offer suggestions like “be flexible”. This book offers researched lists, like 15 things you can do the help your babies ears adjust when your plane descends. She lists differences in all the domestic carriers and many of the overseas airlines. She lists comparisons with every cruise line which allows children.I feel I will be much better prepared after reading this book.

Fantastic resource! Very thorough.
I’ve read many a baby book and many a travel text, and this is SO well done. Extremely thorough, very insightful, provides an incredible amount of accurate and up to date information with links, prices, item recommendations, websites, everything you’d need to know and resources for how to learn more.It even goes through traveling temperaments and how to best fit your child needs emotionally, which I really liked since most books or articles talk about logistics and items alone.Phenomenal resource, and something I will be turning to again and again!

GREAT FOR NEW PARENTS
My wife and I bought this before our first trip abroad with our baby. It really opened our eyes to quite a few things we had never considered about traveling with a baby. It covers all those things you don’t know you don’t know. I was glad we bought it. Now that we are seasoned travels with babies and small kids I find that some of the info in this book is our standard traveling procedure. My personal advice for traveling with kids (our just yourself) is create a packing list in your phone and after you return from the trip remove items that didnt help or weren’t used and add items you wished you’d had along. Then next trip you will have a more refined packing list handy in your phone and a better starting point, after a few trips you will have an excellent idea of what you will need. I do this for resort trips abroad, camping and car trips (3 separate lists). Saves time on a packing list and I don’t forget things I will need. This book is a great starting spot and I recommend it, so if the medical and safety info is superb!

A "must read" for traveling with little ones
I have an upcoming trip involving a 4 hour round trip flight with my husband, 20 month old, and 2 month old. I was very concerned before reading this book, but now feel more confident because of her wonderful advice. I feel much more prepared and can envision how to address needs and problems as they arise. It seems like she's thought of just about everything and definitely addressed all the questions and concerns I had. I highly recommend this book for anyone who plans to travel with small children.

Tons of great info!
This book was so extremely helpful to me in preparing for a family's first trans-Atlantic trip with our 16 month old but it has information for all modes of travel and destinations! I will definitely be using the information for our road trips too. It has so many helpful pieces of information that I would never have thought of on my own, such as easy ways to move all your luggage through the airport when you have a stroller, car seat, and multiple suitcases.

BEST Book on this Topic- Period!
Fantastic! After much research and reading reviews I chose this book to study up on traveling with babies and kids. Excellent choice! She has so many wonderful and ingenious tips, I can hardly put this book down! My husband has to listen to me constantly repeating back all the exciting ideas I've found! :) I liked it so much I bought a second one for a friend who's also expecting, and who also loves to travel.

dont forget to adjust baby to higher altitude!
Had several good suggestiknsx but missed a most important one: anticipating and adjusting for altitude sickness. We took our baby hiking in the Sierra Nevada and because I have been sick only once, in the Andes, it did not occur to me. She started fussing for unknown reason and normally prefers the outdoors so we hightailed it to lower elevation. Don't know for sure if that was the issue but scary to be in the high Sierra a long way from a hospital and have that happen. Then I read online the steps we should have taken to get her adjusted which is much more than for adults.. Some we had taken without thinking but others we had not but would have if we had thought of this problem before axwarning sign at the trailhead reminded me of the issue.this book had lots of good advice (in partjculr the what to bring section) but missed this issue.

Die Autorin hat zu allen relevanten Punkten gute Ratschläge und Ideen. Mein Mann und ich können uns nun an die Reiseplanung machen, ohne auch nur irgendeine Kleinigkeit nicht zu bedenken.
