Men's Solid Linen Long Sleeve Shirt

This linen long sleeve is the perfect style for a Summer evening or when you go on vacation to a tropical location. The white color is the right shade of white. It's bleach bright white, but it's not dull and brownish white either. It's just right. I would say the XL fit is perfect for my 6-foot body and the sleeves are the right length, although I tend to roll up the sleeves of my linen shirts. It is not a tight fit and it a but loose and wide. If you prefer a tighter or tapered fit, this may not be the one. The linen appears to be good quality and about the right thickness. For a white shirt, it is slightly translucent as one would expect, but not too much. And because it is linen, the fabric is breathable. I have not had a chance to wash it yet, but I expect it will not shrink much. But you will need to iron it before each use and after each washing.

The warmth is appropriate for mild weather, breathable enough that I'm not overheating but offers just enough coverage for cooler evenings. The fabric has that classic linen texture with just a touch of wrinkle, which honestly adds to the casual laid-back look rather than detracting. Buttons are secure, stitching looks solid. The long sleeves can be rolled up cleanly if you want a more relaxed vibe. It's a dependable piece for transitional seasons when you need something lighter than flannel but more substantial than a basic tee. Good value for a linen shirt at this price point.

I love the Perry Ellis brand and was in high hopes this would hit the mark I’m familiar with but I was a bit disappointed to find that this piece wasn’t for me. The color is really nice and the fit is snug to the body, however the material is so see-thru it looks like a cheap garment. It also wrinkles quite easily so from afar it doesn’t scream high quality unless your up close and actually feel and see the stitching. Overall I’d say I’d go for another colorway or if you don’t mind the visual aesthetic I just mentioned then this may be for you. Hope the insight helps, Cheers! :^)

Bad quality linen

Love the shirt! I was hesitant to order because in the photos, it looked like it could be boxy. But the fit is almost tailored, which is a great relief, ordering online. In my case, the large fits perfectly. One of my favorite pieces of clothing I ever owned is Perry Ellis, a plaid, crew neck sweater I will wear over the shirt); and this item certainly matches up to quality (I still wear the sweater 30 years later!). The Perry Ellis Men's all linen long-sleeve shirt is a popular choice for warm-weather. It is smart-casual wear. Linen will offer reduced wrinkling (although it wrinkles easily in warm weather) and durability. The off color white is wonderful. I appreciate linen because it’s soft, lightweight, and breathable. So, you can wear it year round in comfort. The plain weave fabrication presents a different slub texture. The first machine wash went great, no size shrinkage. I feel more sophisticated in this fine shirt. If you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable, and long-lasting smart-casual vibe, the long sleeve shirt won’t disappoint.

It’s a nicely made shirt, and the natural linen is an attractive color. The fit is interesting; it’s labeled as a “classic fit” but I would say it’s more like halfway between classic and slim fit, which works well for me, but might not for you. Primarily, it’s a little narrower at the waist (less boxy) than most classic fit shirts, but not quite as tight as a slim fit. It fit me well in the shoulders and with sleeve length. Medium slim fit is my normal sizing, so I would say this sizing was as expected. It is also cut to an “untucked” length. The fabric does seem a little stiffer than other linen shirts I own, but I’m reserving judgement until I get it back from the dry cleaner. For me, I see this as being worn as another button down shirt, over a T-shirt. I’ll save my best Italian linen shirts for hot days and nothing underneath them.

I loved the cut of the shirt and the gauze like material. It looked sharp and it fit like it should with a nice cut to it. The black color was indeed black and not an almost black deep navy blue. The only issue I had is the sleeves were probably around a 32/34, I need a 36” length as I stand at 6’ 1’. I gave the shirt to a friend who is about 5’ 10” and he really liked it. The sleeves fit him perfect and he was impressed with the look and quality. Although this was a “free” vine item, I intend to purchase one if they have a xlt size. I was really bummed that the sleeves were too short for me. But I really liked the shirt.

Review of 2XL black solid linen long sleeve Perry Ellis mens shirt. Overall nice shirt designed to be left un-tucked. Seems a little small for a 2XL - felt a little restricted in large arm movements. Material is a little rough but that is normal for linen. Does show wrinkles fairly easily so steaming before use is probably a good idea. Price from Amazon seems very reasonable for a brand name shirt like this (was less than the label price).
